With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and BPitch Control, it's safe to say Venezuelan-originating, Barcelona-based duo Fur Coat are backed by some real key players.

Last year's 'There's No Time' EP on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' HC was a proper smash, with the title track a certainty to mess with your mind. That followed the 'U Turn' EP on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown, a tasty four-tracker of sizzling grooves.

Soon they make their debut for Balance, mixing the 'Balance presents Fur Coat' compilation featuring cuts by DJ Koze, Francesca Lombardo, Roman Flügel and a couple from themselves.

"Musically, I've always made a lot of different stuff. Some people find that quite hard to palate," Westbeech tells THUMP. "I never started Breach to be one sound and it has always been a forward thinking alias for me, so the sound is constantly moving forward and pushing my boundaries as a producer. Ive never been one to rest on my laurels, and quite frankly i would get very bored if I did."

The creative output of Ben Westbeech is difficult to quantify. As a singer, producer, and DJ, the "Jack"-jocking polymath is on a few different levels at once. You can now add 'proponent of weirdo analog house' to that list, as his Dim Sum EP, to be released on AUS Music, is three tracks of progressively-minded 4x4 tunes that will bring some much needed cerebral energy to the dancefloor when released on April 27.

Mathias Kaden's ‘Freedom’ on Rekids receives the remix treatment 1st August 2025, with a new version from Kaden, as well as a dub mix from Radio Slave. Initially released as part of his 2024 ‘Circulate’ EP on the label, the release won support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, TSHA, and Dam Swindle.

Rooted in soul but geared for the dancefloor, Mathias Kaden’s uptempo rework of ‘Freedom’ toughens the original’s groove while allowing its jazz and dub-inflected stabs, strings, and keys to shine through, all while stripping back the track’s memorable spoken-word sample. Meanwhile, Radio Slave’s eleven-minute dub mix is a hypnotic, slow-burning and dreamlike track, built on spacious layering and a hauntingly re-emergent vocal. A full instrumental completes the package, with Kaden and Radio Slave joining previous ‘Freedom’ remixer William Kiss in oﬀering three distinctive takes on the track.

Active since the mid-90s, Mathias Kaden appeared on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time in 2019, adding to a versatile discography on labels like Cocoon and Vakant while also remixing work by DJ Koze, KiNK, Monika Kruse, Trentemöller.

Japanese Techno pioneer Ken Ishii returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects with the ‘Autopilot’ EP, arriving 22nd August 2025. It follows his first appearance on the label in 2023, where he collaborated with Dutch duo Kamara on the ‘Powerplay’ single.

‘Autopilot’ kicks oﬀ with an unsuspecting, rolling groove while playful synths sneak up and bounce oﬀ its rhythm. The trip continues with ‘Sunset Flight’, lush chords washing over deep, subby low-end, rising high before delving back into the background while delicious percs play between its pounding kick drums. Closer ‘Grid Bounce’ then returns to mischief, machine-like sequences tumbling over an unrelenting beat, excellently building pressure for maximum dancefloor wonk.

DJ and producer Ken Ishii is one of the founding artists behind the Japanese Techno scene, he debuted on R&S Records in 1993 and quickly rose to global acclaim, releasing on labels like Harthouse, Exceptional, and now Rekids’ RSPX oﬀshoot, while collaborating with artists like Jeﬀ Mills, who remixed Ishii’s 2019 ‘MOBÏUS STRIP’ album on U/M/A/A.

He is also the founder of the 70 Drums label, co-brewer of KIKK IPA, worked on theme songs for the 1998 Winter Olympics and the Japanese government for the 2005 World Expo, and continues to innovate through projects ranging from video game and anime soundtracks to collaborations with Jazz artists.

London-based artist Hilit Kolet returns to Rekids, collaborating with New York’s The Illustrous Blacks, the project formed by Manchildblack and Monstah Black, for the ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ EP, landing 29th August 2025 via Radio Slave’s Rekids. Legendary father-daughter duo Floorplan remix the single, with the release following up Kolet’s 2024 ‘Snap Talk’ EP, which won support from artists like Dam Swindle, Chloé Caillet, Bradley Zero, and more.

With lyrics that connect London and New York, ‘Transatlantic Kiki’ is a tough, funk-fueled roller true to Hilit Kolet’s signature production style, infused with an unmatchable personality via The Illustrous Blacks’ playful, vogue-like vocals. It’s hypnotic, bold, and irresistible, with the pair supplying a loopy ‘First Class’ mix that introduces vocal elements not featured in the original, amplifying the track’s qualities to hit even harder, and works the dancefloor into a sweat.

Robert and Lyric Hood, known together as Floorplan, remix Hilit Kolet & The Illustrous Blacks’ ‘Transatlantic Kiki’. Equally infectious as the original, they transform its rhythm into a drummy late-night cut. Stabs and vocal chops ride the groove, culminating in a proper lose-yourself-in-the-dance House cut that also comes with an instrumental version.

London’s Hilit Kolet came up through the former Soho Black Market Records shop, and has since become synonymous with the city’s House scene via releases on Defected, Snatch!, Domino, and Rekids, with a #1 debut on Music Week’s Upfront Club Chart and support from BBC Radio 1, Jamie Jones, HAAi, Skream, and more. NYC duo The Illustrious Blacks, comprising Manchildblack and Monstah Black, blend Afro-Electro, Funk, Disco, and House across releases on Soul Clap, Classic Music Company, and Defected, as well as collaborations with artists such as Osunlade, DJ Minx, Seven Davis Jr., and David Morales.

Hilit Kolet x The Illustrious Blacks - Transatlantic Kiki (Floorplan Instrumental Remix)

Anna Schreit is a Berlin-born DJ and producer known for sets that cut across genres with a mix of groove, grit, and edge. Growing up in a musical household – her father the frontman of East Germany’s cult art-rock band Stern Combo Meissen – music was never just background. For Anna, it was a way to make sense of things.

Raised in the middle of Berlin’s techno scene, it wasn’t until a night out in Munich that things really clicked: a chance encounter with house music lit the fuse. The rhythm, the warmth – it stuck. From there, she dove deep into sound.

Since 2012, she’s been building sets that go beyond the obvious. From sunrise slots at Sisyphos, to stripped-back live streams on HÖR or The Lot Radio, to records like her Duck EP on Compost, Anna brings a sound that’s raw, grounded, and unmistakably her.

One highlight: her ARTE Concerts set – a moment that took her sound to a wider audience without losing its edge. As a resident at Sisyphos, she’s become a steady presence in Berlin’s underground – not chasing trends, just playing with intent.

You might know Ben Evers from Adana Twins – but this one's all him. Stepping out solo, he’s dialled in a sound that hits hard and stays with you. His remix? A peak-time weapon. Tight arrangement, proper weight, and a sonic punch that could rattle the mainstage. Every detail locked in – made for the floor, no fillers.

UK house veteran Phil Asher arrives on Rekids with the latest project in his storied career, a collaboration with emergent London poet & musician James Massiah. Having chanced upon him a performance during a Fiona Bevan Presents night at Dalston's Servant's Jazz Quarters, Asher immediately approached Massiah about a possible collaboration: "As soon as I heard James I knew I had to work with him. His poetry is infectious, textured & Interesting. 'Time & Space' took years to imagine but 25 minutes to write. It took James approximately the same amount of time to lay his poem down."

Asher approached Matt Edwards with the results, and the Time & Space EP was confirmed for release on Rekids: two original cuts of futuristic house emboldened by Massiah's electrifying poetry, and a reprise version of the title track which steps away from the dancefloor to bring the lyrical content into sharper focus.
