The Grey Cards are an Ottawa, Canada duo producing original lo-fi music. For now, all our stuff is recorded on an iPad 2 (although just upgraded to Air 2) with an Apogee MiC.

I love the community that I have found in Sound Cloud. How great is it to show our music to each other? So wonderful to have built relationships with many of you. I look forward to hearing new tracks very much but miss them on the stream no doubt, PLEASE send me your track if you got something you are proud of, I would love to hear it!!!  I have been broadened musically each time I press play and appreciate more than words the feedback I have received on my tracks. I will reciprocate to anyone who spends time here because after we start commenting on each others tracks, we are no longer followers but friends. The amount of followers doesn't matter in the slightest. What matters are the friends who care enough to share in each others creations.  Hey, I know I have a weird sound and I can be hard to listen to but when I recorded it  I was alive, I felt it and I did it!! :)

Hello! Welcome friends! 
So happy to celebrate 50 K plays of my songs here on SoundCloud! Many of my tracks can now be downloaded (for free).
I am a singer-songwriter from Trondheim, Norway. I have written and performed music for more than 30 years. I write music&lyrics across a lot of genre and styles but seem to favour country, blues, jazz and singer-songwriter pop music. 

In May 2013 I started recording my music for the first time. I was lucky enough to come across a great sound engineer and producer, Robert Mære at Toppen Lydstudio, and I made a deal with him for recording and producing 25 of my songs. Next lucky strike was that the legendary "Guitar God" Toralf Lund came on board the project. He really set the standard! Although I play some guitar myself, I at once realized that Toralf should be the main guitarist on this project. :-) So I went on to hand pick really high standard musicians, alongside some of my talented family members and good friends. The third really lucky strike was the piano/keyboard player Steffen Flasnes. He plays ALL piano/keyboard on the whole project. What a versatile and talented young man! 
The end result is much better than I expected. Many thanks to you all! 
After several months of editing and cutting and producing and mastering we are getting close to releasing the music.

I sing all male vocals/choir myself (with one exception: the bass vocal on A place called Hell) and play both tenor and alto saxophone (all sax except Keep my motor running). I also play some harmonica and blues harp on the project. 

All songs&lyrics are originals written by myself. And I'm arranging and do the instrumentation.  I have also co-produced everything together with Robert Mære.
