In the half light around 3am, the early chorus is dominated by thrushes; Blackbirds and Redwings calling from the dense forest undergrowth. Drifting across the still waters of a nearby lake are heard the voices of Black-throated Divers and Whooper Swans. Later, other forest birds join the morning chorus, including the lyrically-voiced Backcap.

The delicate birdsong of this album evokes the renewal of the European spring.
