'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'Super happy to welcome Ric Niels on our label. We are fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years. Clubsonica Records begins their 2019 journey by welcoming Armandhe back to the label for a new EP. Previously known as Soluna, the Colombian artist adopted the Armandhe moniker with his ‘Sacred Heart/Ozadya' double a-side release from July of last year. A fresh start has only provided more creative energy for Armandhe who has continued to unite progressive music fans with his redolent creations. Now returning to his home label of Clubsonica, the Medellin resident presents his 'Inside the Music Box / While the Wolf's Away' EP alongside remixes from Paul Angelo & Don Argento and Jonnas B.

Beginning with ‘Inside the Music Box' Armandhe explores a deeper side of his studio repertoire. Free flowing from the outset, it's rippling low end provides a fluid energy while quirky hooks and timely effects fill in the framework. Stripping down into the main break, the musical narrative expands, opening a spiritual reservoir of glowing clusters and emotive chord changes, before effortlessly shifting energy into an evocative final act.

The companion piece ‘While the Wolf's Away' follows a similar sonic ethos with its drummy tension and musical meanderings. Beginning with a warm, rolling groove the piece moves with discernible momentum, as layers of atmosphere and cascading themes converge in a perfect sonic marriage. As the second act evolves, striking electronics bring a melodic tension of sorts, dramatic and poignant in equal measure, they elevate the mood further before flowing beautifully into a rousing finale.

The first interpretation of ‘While the Wolf's Away' is provided by Paul Angelo & Don Argento who make their label debut here. The Cyprus based production team were undoubtedly one of 2018's fastest rising progressive house duos. Support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren came in waves and the duo's groovy, dance floor inspired take on the genre quickly became an irresistible trend. Now making their first and highly anticipated appearance on Clubsonica Paul & Don provide a stunning take on ‘While the Wolf's Away'. Dark and brooding from the outset, it's chugging cadence and ghostly motifs are immediately compelling. Indistinct vocals trail through the framework, elevating mood and tension throughout the break, before cascading tones and percussive flurries unite for an exhilarating apex and powerful drop.

The release concludes with Jonnas B returning to the label and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘While the Wolf's Away'. A staple of Colombia's progressive underground for seven years the Medellin based artist has earned play and support from the world's biggest DJs, most notably Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now making a welcome return to Clubsonica, Jonnas rounds out the release with a superb rendition of ‘While the Wolf's Away'. Shifting mood and tempo to a deeper place it's a piece which excels on rhythm and groove. Perfectly contoured, its thick slabs of bass power forward as intricate percussion, delicate arps and haunting atmospherics lead into the break. Like an ultrasonic wave, emotional energy rises across the eighty second centrepiece, eventually melting down to rolling drums and a sheet of white noise, perfectly setting up a magical dance floor moment. A spectacular remix from Jonnas which caps off another must have release from Clubsonica Records, who get 2019 off to an incredible start.

Rising out of Sri Lanka's electronic underground is Serendeep. Of significant origin, the label's name is derived from the word 'Serendib'. A term given to the country by the Persian Empire during their reign many years ago. Founded by Danidu & Hasith, Serendeep is a digital imprint created with the intent of further invigorating the country's electronic scene, while also creating a greater presence for it on a global scale. As an open concept, Serendeep looks to nurture new talent from the country's pool of up and coming producers, while also playing host to key international artists. Deep and melodic in ethos, it seems only appropriate that the label's inaugural release come from one of Sri Lanka's brightest stars in Subandrio. The Colombo resident got his career off to an amazing start in 2015 with an EP for Cid Inc's Replug Records. It was this showcase that paved the way for his now distinctive and much loved sound, as he then went on to appear on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Now widely regarded as one of the scenes foremost talents, Subandrio begins 2019 with 'Moas Gone' alongside a remix from Hernan Cattaneo & Audio Junkies. 

The lone interpretation of 'Moas Gone' is provided by Hernan Cattaneo & Audio Junkies who are a production trio that needs no introduction. Hernan Cattaneo is one of the world's most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat Music imprint is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. Audio Junkies are a Tel Aviv based production duo who have been crafting unique and inspiring electronic music since 2006. Appearances on Diynamic, Sincopat, Suara and Sudbeat highlight their meticulous discography, while they continue to travel the world showcasing their unique DJ skills. Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki’s main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted.  Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver’s heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg’s wall paintings adorn Stil Vor Talent ’s cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven’t brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 10th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Serendeep continues a strong start to their journey by welcoming Michael A to the label for his debut EP. Since first appearing in 2012, the Belarus based artist has risen up through the progressive house ranks at a remarkable rate. A groovy, detailed sound combined with a prolific release schedule has led to support from the genre's elite, including Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur. Releases on Sudbeat Music, Cid Inc's Replug Records and his own Genesis Music imprint have been recent discography highlights. Now making his much anticipated Serendeep debut, Michael presents his latest EP entitled 'Aviate' alongside a remix from Roger Martinez.

The lead selection 'Aviate' finds Michael presenting some of his best and most anticipated work to date. Building fluently; warm beats, rhythmic clusters and waves of perfectly contoured bass unite for a smooth free flowing groove. Airy pads and haunting atmospherics deliver a subtle yet powerful shift in emotive energy, perfectly segueing into the main break. Warm and radiant, the centrepiece further advances the narrative with a wall of granular fuzz playing off charming chord changes, before a timely drop serves up an exhilarating finale. The companion piece 'Soul Digger' has been much hyped since being aired by Hernan Cattaneo on his hugely popular Resident podcast. A touch deeper than its predecessor, Michael builds a groovy framework through organic drums, hip swinging rhythms and a quirky, metallic lead. Trippy and brooding in equal measure, the main break proves impactful, escalating tension through symphonic themes and a dark undertone, which generates a bridge into a futuristic final act.

The lone interpretation of 'Soul Digger' is provided by Roger Martinez who makes his label debut. Revered by both his fans and contemporaries, the Dutch artist has found a home on some of progressive music's top imprints. Guy J's Lost and Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music have become outlets for Roger's creative vision, and his nomadic style has flourished as a result. Now making his much anticipated Serendeep debut Roger crafts a stunning rendition of 'Soul Digger' to round the release out on a strong note. Beginning with punchy beats and redolent rhythms, it's the detail and fluidity of the groove which becomes instantly compelling. Perfectly contoured and full of great character, it anchors what is a sleek, percussive and highly imaginative slice of progressive house. In remodelling the main elements Roger takes the listener on a nine minute journey, resulting in a spirited, timeless piece of music which is under constant evolution.

Launched in March amidst much praise, Serendeep's second release now builds on that momentum, to continue what promises to be a memorable year for the Sri Lankan imprint.

Also laying claim to an impressive discography is EDGE co-founder Eran Aviner. The Belgian artist has showcased his music on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while also being regarded as one of his country's most astute DJs. Having worked together once previously on a chart topping remix for Sound Avenue, Hermanez and Eran now present their debut EP via EDGE entitled 'Arias'.

Beginning what promises to be a fruitful year for both artists are the pure progressive sensibilities of 'Aria'. Captivating from the start, it's perfectly sculpted beats are warm and powerful, anchoring what is a rippling, free flowing foundation. Crafted with precision and care, layers of hypnotic percussion are blanketed with textural drifts, ghostly pads and fragmented melodies. Intrigue peaks as the main break unfolds, with hazy harmonic concepts and metallic melodies uniting for an exhilarating crescendo, before ushering in a groovy drop and hypnotic finale.

The journey continues with the reflective moods of 'Storyteller'. Nicely tied to the ethos of the EP, Hermanez and Eran marry haunting vocal refrains with meditative rhythms and tranquil textures. It's a spiritual and highly engaging storyboard, perhaps the EP's most impassioned in fact, a creation for the road home and no doubt a highly memorable selection for your dance floor.

The release is capped off in fine fashion with the chunky vibes of 'First Touch'. Immediately compelling, it's shapely bass tones and dynamic percussion play off a robust rhythmic core, making for a smooth, hip swinging groove. Its musical appeal grows subtly, as pixie-like motifs and luminous tones add an emotive slant to what is an already magical storyboard. Expertly timed, it's chugging energy melts down into a break of effervescent lines and shifty harmonics, building into a wall of melodic colour, before getting washed away in a rush of beats and percussion for a charming third movement. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an exceptional collection of music from Hermanez and Eran, one which sees the duo's creative synergy continue to grow.

Eros, is the 7th EP of Various Artist from Droid9 South America, it includes 3 original mixes of pure Progressive House made by great artists. Among them are Argentine producers such as Konte, Andres Moris, Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi.

Voice of experience, is the first track on this EP, made by Konte. In this track you can appreciate an ambient and dark sound, along with a very well achieved base, accompanied by a deep house sound to some extent. This creation keeps us in tune all the time, it is an ideal track for any time of the night, either at the end of a warm up or to generate a calmer atmosphere in an extensive set.

Into the light, is the second track, made by Andres Moris. This track obtained the support of Guy J (Echos 11/13/2020), in it we can notice in this creation a fine mixture in the Progressive House style, you can see solid drums accompanied by a powerful bassline, which when combined With the melody it begins to take us on a one-way trip to another dimension. Everything that seemed heavenly turns dark, minimal-style sounds begin to enter our ears which keeps the crowd to keep moving. It is an ideal track for any type of environment , in which listeners will go through different states of mind when being heard.

Sayonara, third track compiled by Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi. You can see in this creation, a mix between an aggressive yet hypnotic and enveloping sound that progressively mutates and takes us on a journey from beginning to end. The combination of drums, melody and bass makes it sustain a good groove for the dance floor, which holds us to the floor and keeps us in constant motion. Undoubtedly this track can be used to exploit the night on any given dancefloor
