'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

'Raven / Changes' is the new two-original EP by argenitian producers Teleport-X @teleportx and Agustín Ficarra @agustinficarra , which is completed by two remixes by Spanish Integral Bread @integralbread and also Argentinian Andrés Moris @andrees-moris 

The tandem formed by Teleport-X and Agustín Ficarra results in a perfect symbiosis, where each producer contributes his skills to achieve a progressive house sound, full of emotional atmospheres and psychedelic elements.

Andrés Moris's remix offers a less hypnotic version, which uses of several elements of the version in addition to adding the sounds and grooves that characterize this young producer.

Univack's boss Integral Bread provides a remix that is somewhat different from what this veteran Spanish producer has accustomed us to. His version of 'Changes' is closer to pure Progressive House, with less dark elements and a global groove that develops until almost the end of the track.

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music welcomes Astral Base back to the label for his debut EP.. Artem Kalalb aka Astral Base found footing in the electronic underground following a well-received debut via Denis A's DAR imprint in 2020. Further successes followed with long-standing imprints BCSA, ICONYC and ICONYC Noir serving as landing spots for Artem's unique brand of melodic techno. Having made his SLC-6 Music debut in 2021 with a remix of 'Elysium' by D.J. MacIntyre & Nomas, Astral Base now lands back on the label with 'Dance Instruction', alongside remixes from Nomas and Home Shell & Olven. Beginning with the OrthodoxDJ version of 'At Dawn', Artem evokes a dystopian style ecstasy perfectly suited to set the mood of a room, while the Original Mix plunges us into the wormhole as pyrotechnic synths, sweeping effects and electric rhythms blanket pulsating grooves and punishing beats. Moving forward, label artist Nomas returns, reimagining 'At Dawn' in his own unique style, with an emotive arp-lead version that's nicely dialled for the morning hours. Meanwhile, Home Shell & Olven take a different approach with cavernous techno grooves and haunted minimalism providing a much-needed curveball for the more adventurous selectors out there. Title selection 'Dance Instruction' finds Astral Base taking square aim at a peak time dance floor, with dark rebounding rhythms and charged basslines setting the course for a delirious blur of colourful effects and extra-dimensional sound salvage. Rounding out the release with their second remix is Home Shell & Olven who take 'At Dawn' into their world of atmospheric techno once again.

Opening the month of August, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Hobin Rude to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Serbia, Hobin Rude first emerged in 2020 with a remix for Jelly For The Babies One Of A Kind imprint. His progressive sounds quickly found favour with the genre's premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, eventually leading to releases via Beat Boutique, Dopamine White, Hoomidaas and Sound Avenue. Also an established DJ, the Belgrade resident has the distinction of performing with elite international talentsGuy J, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green, Guy J, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green, Volen Sentir and more. Now on the strength of forthcoming projects via The Soundgarden and Plattenbank, Hobin adds Movement Recordings to his resume with 'It Was and It Will', alongside remixes from DJ Ruby and Kyotto.

Drawing on a variety of smooth rhythmic concepts, the EP begins with the title selection. On a backbone of warm beats comes mounds of perfectly contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Fluid and buoyant in equal measure, an evolving atmospheric haze encases the framework, as mysterious vocal fragments and effervescent effects unite in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative continues to evolve across the main break, with buzzing sonics and sheets of white noise gently rising alongside percolating motifs, as the beats drop for a spirited finale. The companion piece 'Umbra' proves to be a worthy complement with its deep, driving energy. Muscular beats power the undulating groove, while percolating effects and timely vocal choirs add depth, space and emotion. Continuing to evolve as the main break commences, clustered arps flow through tasteful modulation amidst a haze of swirling atmospherics and colourful effects, eventually melting down into a thunderous drop and soaring finale.

Providing the first interpretation of 'It Was and It Will' is DJ Ruby who makes his label debut. As Malta's premiere progressive house DJ, Ruby has an ever-growing fanbase that stretches far beyond the island's party scene. Beloved for his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills, Ruby is also an accomplished producer with releases via Droid9, Freegrant Music, Mango Alley and SLC-6 Music. Now, on the strength of a remix for Kamilo Sanclemente and Transensations, Ruby makes his Movement Recordings debut with a powerful rendition of 'It Was and It Will'. Taking a cue from the original while adding a deeper state of mind, the Maltese artist carves out a warm, chunky groove adorned with flickering percussive arrangements and arcane vocal gates. Astral effects continue to advance the journey, creating a colourful canopy along the way, while a cavernous break resets the framework for a dark, hip swinging finale

'Dastan translates to story. As a journeyman of dance music, and a fan of the longer form experience, he's been obsessed with quality sound and the state of being lost in music. Dastan has been a resident DJ in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, championing residencies in seminal nightclubs Flash & Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as in the underground and festival circuit. In 2020, he found a family playing consistently with Nick Warren's imprint, The Soundgarden, on their showcase streams. A new label to enter the underground house milieu, Pillbox has a set of 24-carat gold credentials from which to cast its net over the global club scene. An artist with a rich electronic music history, Chris Zippel has been immersed in the world of house since the age of 15. Splitting his time between Berlin and Ibiza, the German artist has taken centre stage with work alongside the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams and Paul Van Dyk. With music signed to Ubersee Music, Allisum Records and GMJ & Matter's Meanwhile Horizons, Zippel continues to grow in stature. A rising star, renowned for her status as a leading Qanun player, Ghenwa Nemnom has combined her love of the traditional Middle Eastern instrument with an ability to use its unique sound in the world of dance music and the organic house sound found on such leading imprints as Café De Anatolia, Alt Orient and Melody of the Soul. Now joining forces for the first time, "To Follow" is an extraordinary track that drifts enticingly with gently rolling beat and deep 16th note sub bassline. In tandem, the beautifully plucked sound of Nemnom's Quanun reveals itself in a virtuoso performance. A whispering vocal phrase emerges at the mid-point before ambient effects and subtly placed arpeggio combine in the second half to spine-tingling and immaculately crafted effect.

Gavin Griffin needs no introduction to those familiar with the progressive house sound of the past 5 years. A leading light in the underground fraternity with his performance behind the decks and near 500 production credits for the like of Anjunadeep, Balance Music and Proton Music, the Australian artist continues to push boundaries, defining the modern progressive sound. Reworking "To Follow", the GMJ remix is dripping in trademark silky smooth melodies and rolling rhythmic underpinning. Building imperceptibly, a vocal sample from Zippel and Nemnom's original creates a melodic peg from which to hang a glorious analogue synth motif. The cadenced phrase shimmers across the stereo spectrum as layer of pads and counterpoint motifs create an uplifting sonic experience. Using the fundamental harmonic themes from "To Follow", the track builds post-breakdown into a glorious sonic collage that showcases GMJ's technique and talent to the full.

'October 2021's "Spark" saw Petar Dundov at his beautifully melodic best. Now returning to the twin-track EP, "Day Unseen (Particles Edition)" sees a pair of new remixes from rising Russian and Argentinean stars.

Originally from Patagonia at the southern end of South America, but now firmly ensconced in Córdoba, Martina Mossoni and Matías Villafañe are a rapidly rising duo who have created quite a stir within the underground dance fraternity through their Alto Astral moniker. Able to combine live performances with more traditional DJ sets, the pair's production work has seen them hit the ground running since a Balkan Connection debut in April 2021. With original and remix material subsequently signed to the likes of Movement, 3rd Avenue and AH Digital, December 2021 saw the Argentinean artists make their Particles debut with a remix of Juan Deminicis' "Rebellion". Now returning to the label, their remix of "Day Unseen" immediately echoes the themes of Petar's track as a running bass groove and head-shaking percussive cadence pave the way for Martina's vocal melodies to drift across near 10-minute piece in captivating fashion. Sublime melodic phrasing and emotive key changes provide a sonic anchor to the original, particularly at the breakdown, but the presence of effects-laden vocal layers and white-noise crescendo, make for a powerful drop that powers the reworking forward to its dramatic conclusion. The result is a sparking gem of a remix from Alto Astral.'
