Kamilo Sanclemente is a Colombian producer with a rich musical heritage to his name. Now making his debut on Particles, Sanclemente provides rich entertainment with his original three-track, "Revelations".

From Cali, in the south west of the country, close to the Pacific coast, Sanclemente has built a strong and rapidly evolving reputation for himself. With close to a double century of Beatport production credits, the Colombian has thus found himself a regular on high-profile labels that include Einmusika, Baroque and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, since a debut for Suite 7 Records and the five-track September 2013, "Angels". Indeed, it was through the "Galathea" and "Arisen" tracks in 2015 that Kamilo saw his stock rise even higher for the Epsilon led label, with another appearance on the "MMW and WMC 2017 Sampler" with "The White City" in March 2107.

Supported by such icons of the underground dance arena as Hernan Cattaneo, Tim Penner and Danny Lloyd, Kamilo Sanclemente continues to impress with original and remix production material in the progressive and tech house genres. Now making his debut on Particles, the "Revelations" EP presents a musical triptych of the highest order.

Opening, with the title track, the dark brooding sounds of "Revelations" build effortlessly through sumptuous pads and eerie lead line that flows in liquid beauty. Through its elegant and evolving characteristic, a strong rhythmic foundation is laid with clicking percussive cadence, before a haunting vocal phrase permeates the upper frequencies, lending a richly textured layer to Sanclemente's work.

"Desolation" continues the Colombian's exacting attention to detail as a strong percussive groove provides a beats-laden backdrop. Building with consummate-ease, themes mirrored in "Revelations" are immediately evident as free-flowing middle-eastern melodies ease into the mid-range. Hitting its stride in the third movement, the rhythmic urgency, counterpoint motifs and reprised themes, showcase Sanclemente's skill and technique.

Fuelled by a driving, running bass line that supplies urgency and dynamism, "Another Earth" builds with gathering pace as strong beat and offbeat snare/clap combine with hi-hat pattern to create a robust backdrop. A filtered arpeggio enters the fray with rising chord progressions and epic snare fills, creating a storming floor-filler that thrills the senses. Sanclemente's technical knowledge of the dance arena is in full evidence through carefully placed use of rise and drop in an impressive club track.

The "Revelations" over Kamilo Sanclemente's talent are in little doubt in his three-track musical vignette.

No stranger to the progressive community, Monojoke's productions can be found on well-revered imprints like JOOF Aura, Soundteller, Balkan Connection and ICONYC to name a few, while his collaborative project 'Fluente', together with Tuxedo, saw releases on Hernan Cattaneo's "Sudbeat Music" as well as Hot Since 82's "Knee Deep In Sound", with a new appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden". From his debut appearance on Juicebox Music via his remix of Subandrio's "Sigiriya" back in 2016 to his "Arterials" EP in 2017, we welcome Poland's very own - Monojoke, aka Jacek Gumbisz, back to the imprint with another peak-time 2-tracker EP, making his mark as one of our label's most esteemed artists. Both "Cold City" and "Superficial" feature his signature percussive-driven groove, driving basslines and larger-than-life atmospheric melodies, creating monstrous epic moments in sets. 

The sole remixer for this EP is Netherland's wonder-kid - Kasper Koman. Even though he's been producing for nearly over a decade, he recently burst into the scene with his fresh and unique style, highlighted by his releases on Guy Mantzur's "Plattenbank", Sonic Union's "Lowbit", Paul Hazendonk's "Manual Music" and more recently Mike Koglin and MoodFreak's "YOMO". His music transcends the traditional 'genre' expectations, providing a much-needed palette cleanser. Kasper's remix of Monojoke's "Cold City" is a masterclass testament to his technique - tight drums, a funk-inspired bassline, sprinkled cosmic effects while twisting and morphing the original parts to give a new life without losing sight of the dancefloor.

Roger Martinez's Higher States imprint continues a strong start to their journey by welcoming GMJ to the label for his debut EP. Based in Melbourne, Australia GMJ aka Gavin Martin has been a primary figure in the progressive house scene for over a decade. His passion for deep and emotive electronic music has seen him land releases on the industry's most esteemed imprints. From Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music to Cid Inc’s Replug Records and UK behemoth Anjunadeep, it's GMJ's storytelling style that continues to surprise and inspire even the genre's most discerning fans. Now following an EP for US conglomerate Proton Music, GMJ debuts on Higher States with the much anticipated 'Enter Universe' artist showcase.

Spread across three tracks it's the warm, redolent grooves of the title selection which gets the release underway. The seven minute journey effortlessly melds organic percussion, arcane atmospheres and hazy harmonic concepts, for what results in a travelogue of mystical audio. Delicate yet powerful it perfectly sets the stage for the peak time flavoured 'Multiverse'. It's astral designs and percussion cadence prove instantly compelling, while a foundation of pulsating beats and electric rhythms continues to drive momentum forward. A cascading motif sits at the spiritual core of the piece, evocative and fluid, gently elevating mood with each successive pass, until elegantly peaking during a poignant final act. Rounding out the collection is the mid tempo 'Niloquai'. Highly creative, it's blend of clustered vocal fragments, spatial arps and textural drifts makes for an enticing storyboard, all playing out over waves of contoured bass and striking tonal design. Reflective in mood it caps off what is an impassioned collection of music from GMJ, one which sees him raise the bar once again and continue what has been an inspired year for the Australian producer. 'For our 34th release on Juicebox Music, we have a 2-track collaborative EP between two fantastic Argentinian producers - Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano, both consistently pushing the progressive space with pure passion. Relatively newer to the scene, Berni Turletti's appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" & "Hope Recordings" (through his EP with Dimuth K) as well as Antrim's "Or Two Strangers" cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with. Returning back to Juicebox Music, after his remix of "Monojoke - Backwards", the more veteran Matias Chilano's decade long discography needs no real introduction with standout associations on Tash's "Movement Recordings", "Proton Music" & "Particles". Recently, not one, but two of Matias' remixes went on to feature in Patrice Baumel's GU42 Berlin on mighty Global Underground, a monumental milestone for any.

Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano put their strengths to the table to deliver a balanced combination of their signature sounds in the form of "Alumine" & "Forgettable", filled with solid low-end grooves, soaring leads & spacey atmospherics. Joining the pack as the only remixer is another returning artist from our roster - Anton MAKe, whose remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" was one of the best ways we could close 2018. Anton's equally impressive catalog features an impressive list of associations including Cid Inc & Orsen's "Replug", Mango's "Mango Alley" & Milos' "Balkan Connection" to name a few. Anton's version on "Alumine" heads towards a more deeper & hypnotic space but loaded with tension for the main melody to shine through, rounding off the release in a classy manner.'

'Higher States enters the summer season by welcoming Navar to the label for his debut EP. Through releasing material on Guy J’s Lost & Found Records, the Dutch artist emerged in 2014, firmly establishing himself in the world of deep melodic house. Subsequent releases for Cid Inc’s Replug Records, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Belgian Events brand EDGE, further solidified Navar’s place amongst the genre’s elite.  Now following a remix of Eric Lune’s ‘Benji’ to begin the year, Navar presents his first original project of 2020 via Roger Martinez’s Higher States.

Spread across four tracks, Navar explores a broad spectrum of organic sensibilities on ‘High Noon’, beginning with the free-flowing tranquillity of ‘Moon At The Window’. A bed of broken beats and exotic drums sets the stage for hypno grooves and pixie-like melodies. Transcendent and glowing in equal measure, it’s fuzzed out stabs, incandescent harmonies and unpredictability showcases an artist operating at his creative peak. ‘Desert Storm’ follows suit with a similarly charming quality. Subtle shades and fragmented tones coverage as the narrative evolves, creating a contemplative yet emotive drawl which is sure to resonate on multiple levels. 

Beginning the EP’s second wave are the dulcet beats of ‘Arctic Vibez’. Spacious and smooth, it’s a piece built around warm bass tones and luminous cascades. Spiralling overlays strike at opportune moments, blanketing the robust framework onwards to a meditative finale. Rounding out the release is the title selection ‘High Noon’ which finds Navar flexing the peak time prowess of his studio repertoire. Sitting comfortably between the playful and emotive, it’s dusty percussion and bouncy arps bring texture and drive to a brilliant rhythmic theme. Tranquil tones and smooth chord changes marry for an elegant apex, ultimately putting a stamp on this sensational release. Sure to be an important piece in Navar’s discography, it’s a collection of music which further solidifies his place amongst the progressive house elite, while continuing to forge new sonic blueprints for the future.'
