Premiere: John Cosani - Bootes (Hicky & Kalo Remix) [onedotsixtwo]

Presenting their Replug debut are Ric Niels and Kabi, with their anticipated new 2 track EP entitled "Kimica".

Hailing from Argentina, between them they have seen their music grace labels such as The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, Plaisirs Sonores, Plattenbank and more, with their unique progressive sounds.

Joining forces for their new EP, starting with the lead track "Kimica" which sets out as a flowing, moody, rhythmic journey alongside a fluid, resonating repetitive synth line which acts as the main hook, driving the track to a hypnotic crescendo break, only dropping out to reveal the core elements in a classy, well defined production.

The second track of the EP "Mutant" brings us to a slightly different feel, with pulsating rhythms, delayed synth stabs and lush chord progressions sitting around a cyclic synth line building into a superb piece of elegant progressive, which is sure to win over fans of their music even more.

The Kimica EP is showing us the unified production skills and future for Ric Niels and Kabi and a very welcome debut to the Replug family.

Or Two Strangers opens the summer season with a new EP from label boss Antrim. Continuing to build on his success, the Cordoba resident ended 2022 looking back on what was another banner year. Choosey in his projects across the twelve-month stretch, Antrim delivered some of the year's most memorable releases, beginning with the Abi Ferraresi vocal led piece ‘Seek the Sun’. Released courtesy of Or Two Strangers it set the course for his latest vehicle via Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Stax’, before delivering one of the year's most exciting cover productions ‘You’re Not Alone’ featuring Paula OS. With 2023 getting underway with an EP for Brazil’s long standing Warung Recordings, Antrim now returns to his comfortable home of Or Two Strangers with ‘Risk | Suru’. 

Destined to be a highlight in Antrim’s discography, ‘Risk’ lands with a sizable thump, as the Cordoba resident opts for a funkier approach to great effect. Warm capsizing basslines and phasing sonics serve as the anchor for emotionally resonant hooks and muted pianos to work their magic leading into the main break. A sweeping experience all its own, the centrepiece flows through deconstructed vocals and wind-swept effects, as the primary theme breathes in all its glory, eventually giving way for waves of phasing noise and a groovy finale. 

Beneath the timeless vibes of ‘Risk’ lies the equally excellent ‘Suru’. Rounding out the release in style, Antrim maintains the groovy energy of its predecessor, with chunky well-carved basslines and panning percussive arrangements setting the course for luminous chord stabs and heartfelt overlays. Sitting at the heart of the journey is a rich textural break, one where Antrim builds anticipation through phasing vocals and percussive-rides, before reaching a tasteful peak and balmy finale. 

Operating at the peak of his creative powers, Antrim continues to impress with his latest Or Two Strangers offering. A two-track showcase which sets the course for what promises to be a strong second half of 2023.

Born in Armenia but now calling Los Angeles home, Ruben Karapetyan quickly emerged as a hyped talent in the trend-driven state of progressive house becoming one of the main genre actual artists. Title theme presents an Organic House track by Ruben, anchored by a warm and rippling groove, organic percussion and emerging melodies creates an atmosphere bound to conquer the dance floor audience. The first remix comes from the Brazilian talented producer Edu Schwartz returning to the label, with a stunning remix, presenting a perfect balance of warmth and fluid rhythms, organic percussion groove and atmospheric textures. Musique de Lune opens the summer season by welcoming Andre Moret back to the label for a new single. As one of Brazil's most highly regarded progressive house artists, Andre has achieved many successes across his six year career. World class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been regular supporters, while his inimitable productions have found a home on Clubsonica, Mango Alley, Plattenbank and The Soundgarden, amongst others. Musique de Lune has also been a landing spot for Andre, with his label debut coming in 2022 with a contribution to the 'Rayons De Lune' collection, a release which served as the imprint's inaugural offering. Now returning for his first single, Andre unveils his latest studio creation 'Endless Line', alongside remixes from Andres Moris and Foletto & Victor Arruda.

One of progressive music's brightest hopefuls Andres Moris provides the first remix following an epic rendition of '1999' by Cloaked, released just last week via Juicebox Music. Some of Andres' recent work has been getting played by Guy J and it's not hard to see why. The Cordoba resident always seems to create something that knows exactly when to either push or lay off the gas, a true sign of a producer coming into his own. For his 'Endless Line' interpretation Andres expands on the emotional aspect of the Original with a deeper, more eloquent rendition that uses plush chords, cascading keys and a balmy atmospheric disposition that is positively glowing.
