Relief Melbourne mixes

This Friday the 13th of May, my friends and I got together to play our first live venue gig to raise funds for ARC - Animal Rescue Cooperative. We invited all our friends along, had nearly a 100 people show up in support, which was the best thing we could have asked for. With over 6 hours of music and in the company of such talents, I was blessed to play from 11pm to 12 am with the crew :)

Between August and October Relief will be broadcasting DJs and producers from across Australia and beyond. The format will see 1 - 2 artists perform sessions from the comfort of their homes each fortnight, experimenting with different styles, forgotten gems and their favourite tracks.

We're performing to raise money for Greater Giving Sri Lanka, who are providing basic meals and other aid to Sri Lankan families and communities. With a day's worth of food only costing approx. $5 AUD, even a small donation can go a long way to supporting those in need.

Based in Sydney, Australia, @OLIIV is a DJ best known for her versatile sweeps of melodic and deep sounds, with a serious penchant for late night indie dance.

Her musical passions have earnt her a residency with Return To Rio, whilst also hosting club nights as co-founder of the The Fan Club Collective. She has curated podcasts that have been featured on international platforms and radio stations, as well as running her own podcast series Fan Club Friends. OLIIV has played shows in Melbourne and Brisbane and has supported names such as Jody Wisternoff, Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld, Emanuel Satie and Eli Nissan to name a few. She is also the Music Director and co-coordinator for Neomenia - a Sydney based boutique festival.

With some international gigs on the horizon, we can expect more exciting things from her soon.

Relief Radio 02 - Sunday Stream

The People’s Dance Collective is a producer/DJ that calls St Kilda, Australia home. 

After a history of organising renegade parties, like the illegal festival "Beach Weekender" and vinyl only nights, The PDC spent the summer of 2022/2023 DJing at Melbourne's floating oasis nightclub, ATET, brainchild of Jake Hughes. It was the perfect opportunity to road test his growing repertoire of PDC productions. Over the summer he supported some pretty big names including DJ Tennis, John Course, Donald's House and Boogs. 

The PDC also runs the mix series Deep House Melbourne, and has recently released an italo number on The Journey's label "Ugenius". 

The PDC is inspired by the euphoria of trance, the rugged nature of electro, and the deep emotional vibes of house. His sets are energetic journeys into forgotten gems and future classics. He inhabits a space where throwback deep house bombs sit comfortably with melodic, organic and afro house. 

An avid wax enthusiast, The PDC sees vinyl records as the heritage of the spirit of house music, to be rediscovered and shared at intimate and dusty parties. The process of stumbling on a sound outside the algorithm driven space of the world wide cyber cloud keeps the glowing embers of countless bygone underground scenes alive.
