Lets Zone Out
Charlotte native Lord Mezo (a.k.a  D.A.C.E.L.L.) was born on August 28, 1984. By the age of ten, he realized that he had a passion for music.  Hip Hop being the popular music of this generation Mezo automatically gravitated towards this genre of music.  He began to write lyrics and record music by the age of 13.  After graduating from Butler High School in 2002 Mezo found himself with his first major life decision, join the Air Force or join the work force.  He chose the Air force.  Being stationed in London, he found that the world was not as it seemed or as he was taught.  He began to put his early found passion for music to work to express his newfound wisdom.  After learning his craft, he returned to the US with a new perception of today’s society.  The music that comes out of Lord Mezo is a direct reflection of what Hip Hop and his experiences in London and the US have given him.  Lord Mezo has known for some time that HipHop has lost its original foundation.  This being a voice for those of us who find frustrations in the way the world lives and is run.   In the words of Mezo himself, “I want to give the listeners what they were sold on when they first heard HipHop.”  Lord Mezo has a philosophy and mission for his movement for HipHop.  The mission is this says Mezo, “I want to give my listeners a philosophy attached to rhythmic instrumentals that can better their lives by opening their minds to the fact that they have been sold the wrong ideas and principles about life.”  The philosophy is this:  to live a more purposeful life only taking what you need not what you want.  This in turn will limit so many of life’s regrets says Mezo.  Lord Mezo’s mission coincides with what we at Zownout Recordings are trying to achieve.  The call for soldiers is now, as Lord Mezo would put it.  Suit up and fight.

AG is a Hip Hop producer who totally believes in the art of expression. His tracks are created through inspiration in hopes of crafting timeless music. Growing up in Harlem NYC in the 80's He developed an itch for the boom bap. After relocating to VA in the 90's he was introduced to southern hip hop. Having a love for the culture he expanded his ear but never forgot the days of yesteryear. He entered into the world of production in 2005 and never looked back. Developing a style that is truly East Coast he is patiently awaiting his turn.
