Ego Trippin & Natural Error - Rub A Dub

This track was created after going to see a friends Metal band. I started playing around with a few new plugins, but ended up with a 10 minute long recording of the session, from which I cut parts and then resampled, pitched, etc. I think this one was definitely inspired by tracks like Dust Up by Noisia & The Upbeats, and even myself and Mefjus' track, Void Main Void. The beat never actually changes and is just constant all the way through, not something I usually enjoy doing but it works extremely well in this case.

Emperor - Passed Up

This track pretty much explains itself. The name doesn't stand for anything, it is just 'Simple' with the vowels removed, hence the vocal sample. This one was inspired by the minimal era that came around a few years ago, old Rockwell, Icicle, Amoss, and Octane & DLR tracks that were bare bones, but not. They had all the needed to have, and that's something that's extremely hard to do nowadays without sounding empty.

Into Black was more of a stylistic choice. My music has always reflected a certain side of me that comes across naturally, particularly my Drum & Bass music. The sound of the EP was more of a throwback to my older sounds and influences, combined with newer elements; I spent a day sampling, then processing, cutting, re-arranging... although I also wanted for the EP to have it's main elements entirely synthesized. Spending time with my peers has taken me out of an old habit, inspiring me to create more. Into Black is a result of that.

Always eager to show off home grown talent, the man in charge at Wobble infection gives a Belgian producer a chance to be heard. MAMF took the chance and ran with it to come up with an outside the box remix taking the track from a totally different angle.

Shuffle crew get ready because this one is for you. MAMF totally reconstructs the original and puts his own stamp on it. Skippy beats and repetitive bars keep your ear waiting for more of this new sound within drum and bass scene that seems to have a home in Belgium. Excellent use of breaks also at play here with the snare being layered in a way that takes some of the harshness out of it which is a great way to give this remix a totally different sound and feel to the others on this EP. Clever use of the pause edit also helps this track to sweep you up on its journey. This remix really pushes the boundaries of the original track and MAMF really challenged himself to create something different and achieved this with a bouncy, well produced dance floor based weighty remix.
