The original ‘Act of God’ from Dutch producer and High Contrast regular Joop Alkema is almost twenty years old, so London’s Ed Lynam decides it’s time to reactivate the panic stations. Foot on the accelerator from the word go, the reaction is for knuckles to turn white and hairs on the backs of necks to stand on end. Lynam rules a rebellion of stinging chords, acid invasions, crunching beats, film dialogue fitting modern times, and his crowning glory keeping the spirit of the source alive, a breakdown counting down to Armageddon before unleashing a devilish trance rhapsody.
