UMEK’s 1605 is back with the latest instalment of it’s Desiderati 4 mixed artist series and along with a cut from the label owner himself, it also features thundering techno tracks by NoNameLeft, Beico and AKKI (DE).

All four of the tracks on the EP are peak time techno anthems in the style that UMEK has made his trademark, and in that sense it’s hard to pick a stand out favourite, but AKKI (DE)’s “Move My Body” has that little bit of extra magic.

AKKI (DE) is a German talent who has collaborated on hit tracks with the likes of the Cosmic Boys, but is also well-known for his contributions to labels such as Spartaque’s Codex Recordings and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M.

He has an epic style with pounding percussion that lays a foundation for powerful synths laced with a twisted euphoria and wrapped in dark atmospherics.

Move My Body opens with rumbling sub bass and a pounding kick drum while the lead synth slowly fades in and the tension builds. It hits a crescendo when the drums come crashing back in after the main breakdown, and its explosive finish is perfect for maximum impact on the dance floor.

Cavo Paradiso Records serves up its much anticipated second release here with Pedro Cazanova feat. Andrea behind new single Selfish Love II while Cazanovas, DJ Freespirit, Padre Guilherme and PEACE MAKER! all remix.

Pedro Cazanova is a Portuguese house star who achieved mainstream success with his #1 single "Selfish Love" in 2009 that went number 1 in several countries, and he has head many hits since in the top of the charts. He heads up the Symphonik Records label and continues to set the house agenda to this day.

Selfish Love II (Extended Mix) is a deep house cut with warm and summery synths and a lush vocal hook that rises up out of the mix and will unite festival crowds all year long. Cazanova then adds his own remix of it and lays down some Afro-tinged broken beats with plenty of skip and nice organic percussion over the top.

Selfish Love II (Dj Freespirit Main Remix) gets more club-ready with a more tech house vibe and tougher drums, then Padre Guilherme follows, a Portuguese priest that has been involved in electronic music the last year and often plays in front of thousands of people in Portugal. His melodic techno take is high in energy and emotion and a huge dance floor weapon.

Selfish Love II (Dj Freespirit Alternative Remix) then gets playful with some big synths and twisted lead lines over bustling broken beats and a soaring vocal. Selfish Love II (PEACE MAKER! Remix) closes us out with another steamy house version that will get any party pumping, and
