Our Yellowhead leaders return to base once more, having created another ferocious beast, which in turn gets manipulated by villains Duspeeka and Mark Reeves! 'Creature' sets a hypnotic mood with cyclic synths and clanging mettalic riffs, next to neatly placed effects that provide enough momentum for the solid drums to keep everything firmly in place, while otherwordly passes seep in and out of the cracks! Mark Reeves' rendition is a more  straight ahead gritty and jacking techno workout, featuring persistant stabs and a steady sub bass that provide the juicy low-end, in his warped version of the original, Dubspeeka takes a more cavernous approach, adding a bouncier rhythm section, while focusing on pulsating sonar bleeps, followed by a heavy drop!

SBCR aka Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots' “Spider” receives the remix treatment from three outstanding Beatport Play contest winners. In first place, Ricky Mears playfully disrupts the original soundscape by oscillating between a trap backbeat and a dubstep breakdown. In a dramatically more minimal approach, the first runner-up, Splash In The House, chops up the vocals and spews them into a melodic, piano-led progressive haunter. Rounding out the collection is the deep house rendering from second runner up N4C, whose smooth heater includes a transformation of the original vocals into dancehall banter.

<p>For their penultimate release of the year Toolroom welcome yet another label debutant, this time in the form of Italian tech maestro, Uto Karem. What Uto has created here truly is something special. The result of re-creating those lead synth elements from the classic Octave One Blackwater track and layering them over the top of a low-slung and dirty tech house groove is just incredible. With the insatiable BPM Festival in Mexico just around the corner, this certainly looks set to become an underground anthem and provide the sound-track to those sun drenched pool parties.</p>

<p>As if the original wasnt exciting enough, Ninetoes is drafted in on remix duties, also debuting on the label, and he manages to take the track to a whole new level by using tougher drums and a hypnotic, techno driven bass line. This version definitely lends itself more to the club dance floors making this the perfect package and another aspirational string to Toolrooms musical bow of 2015.</p>

For the 15 years of Terminal M festivities it was a sure step to also get back into our catalogue and obviously listened to the older releases again. And it quickly came to our mind that Monika Kruses @ Voodooamt's classic 'Passengers' album from 2003 still is a true gem. So we reworked and remastered the whole album and asked close friends to select a track they wanted to remix. Oliver Huntemann, Alberto Ruiz and Skober immediately agreed and surprised us with their great new interpretations.
