Locked Club is the new Russian electronic punk music. A wild combination of the legacy of classic house music, new-wave acid and techno sounds and the immersion of post-Soviet dance experimentation. Born out of scruffy techno beginnings at drum-heavy basement parties, this is a serious, acid inflicted view of modern electronic music from the other side - away from the surrealism of the big room. Locked Club and RLGN recorded this 12" together in a basement for the basement.

A month or so ago I put out a request for up and coming producers to send in their unreleased tracks for me to pick one to remix live on Youtube. I got sent far more entries than I was expecting and it wasn’t easy at all to pick a winner. I did a fair bit of dancing round the living room feeling them out and eventually settled on a total whopper by @indentsound. Everything about it is up my street. The dark tone, the stripped back groove and the big sub. I could see myself playing it a ton and that was what sold it to me.

I spent a few live streams doing the remix and flipped it into a heavy and hypnotic techno roller. No holds barred business.

I hadn’t originally intended to release them when I came up with the concept but in the end the original was so strong that it would have been crazy not to. I was very happy with the remix as well and so here we are.
