Omar was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia from a young age. He grew up in a single-parent home where his mum worked two jobs. After his best friend got killed when he was 13 he turned to a life of crime.

At 23, he was arrested with his other gang members.

He got sentenced to 36 months.

To get out of staying in his cell all day he asked to be put on every course that was going, which is how he came across Beyond Recovery.

Beyond Recovery was different from the others. They didn't tell him what to do, just asked that he learnt about himself.
He began to see that the reality he thought he was living in was all created by him. The things he used to do just didn't make sense anymore.
