Today we premiere a track from one of our favourite artists of all time, and an act who has literally been there and done that within the dance music scene, the mighty and legendary CJ Bolland.

Set to be released on RAW, who after more than 5 years in the techno scene as a promoter, label, and agency, the Paris based collective launched their first vinyl and digital compilation earlier in the year. They have clearly set the bar high and have followed up with yet another VA this time entitled 'Third Eye' which is still a mystery as to who is featured. To say we're excited to premiere this track 'Red Raw' from CJ Bolland is an understatement.

Hailing from Durham in the UK, but very much engrained in Antwerp, Belgium from a young age, CJ Bolland is well and truly a legend of techno and dance music in general. He cut his teeth in dance music from an early age as his parents ran a club in Antwerp, with his mother DJing there. 

He grew up listening to a diverse selection of electronic music, but by the late '80s he had devoted most of his time to house and techno when he began releasing tracks. At the time he was one of the first producers to ever be signed by the then iconic R&S Records, he since has worked with everyone from Jeff Mills to Joey Beltram.

Bolland is one of the most consistent producers in the history of dance music, with numerous stone cold classics that stand the test of time, and are regularly features on dance floors, radio and mixes worldwide.

Krill Music is making a return after a one year hiatus with a solid 27 track VA titled Okiami.
The label left a lasting impression with its last offering by one of the hottest producers in modern techno, Stanislav Tolkachev. The Album titled ’It Will Be Too Late Then' made waves around the globe and was touted “absolutely killer, singularly visionary & inspiring” by Hardwax records in Berlin.

The label comes back stronger in 2019 with an expanded team. Founder Espen Lauritzen, now based in Kiev, Ukraine welcomes Berlin based artists Metapattern and Tym to the team. The digital only VA will lead the way for a reboot and return to physical formats later in the year, focusing on the single 12” format chosen by the label in 2011 with KRL001. The label will use this new geographic distribution to strengthen the cultural distances between both cities with a series of events and artistic exchanges.

The 27 track VA will be released in three equally weighted parts in a staggered schedule over the months of September and October. The lineup includes staple Krill names like Jonas Koop, Matrixxmann, Pfirter and Charlton. Notably there’s a nod to the Argentinian roots with names like Farceb, Miragliotta and Tomas Kunkel making their first appearances. Espen Lauritzen will be also featuring on this release along with new team members Metapattern and Tym. Overall the VA aims to strike a balance of established and upcoming artists, setting a tone for what will come later in the year.
