Mixmaster of deep, progressive, tech, and melodic house & techno, indie dance, nu-disco, and downtempo. Long time participant in the San Francisco underground scene, now residing in Seattle.

DJ Heather B., also known as Heather Besos, has been rocking parties big and small, since highschool! For 26 years she has been holding her own with the best knob turners, headliners, and red-liners in the industry. She has really honed her DJ skills for good in the world and free drink tickets. She can roller skate without falling, well most of the time. She enjoys hikes in the redwoods with Goldie, the dog, cooking and eating with her hubby, Mario, sunbathing with her chicas, and sings a mean karaoke.


It all began in El Paso, Texas, the sister city of Juarez Mexico, in 1996. Heather was 14 years old and she traded her pointe shoes and opera music sheets for the expensive hobby of record collecting and the inexpensive hobby of cutting up rugs at undergrounds. Heather Besos picked up beat matching and blending quickly. She was welcomed with open arms into El Paso’s house music scene in May of 1996. She moved to New Mexico in February of 1997, where she frequented the UN (Underground Nation). She was part of Cosmic Kids, who’s first event was in May 1997. The year 1998 marked one of Heather B's first residencies, “Rapture”, where she was fortunate enough to play alongside Mark Farina. Before moving to California, Heather would work at Revolutions Record Shop.
 
In 1999 and into the early 2000’s, Heather would come and record hunt in San Francisco, making friends with her fellow DJs and dancers. In August of 2004, Heather packed up her record collection and moved to the Bay Area. Her first gig was at Stylus at the Oasis in Oakland, the first weekend she arrived. She had an ongoing weekly Saturday night residency at San Francisco’s Lingba Lounge from 2004-2006. Heather lived in SF’s Lower Haight district with friend, mentor, and housemate Roam Records’ Chad Mitchell from about 2006- 2015. DJing bars and clubs such as Wish, The Top, Anu, Butter, Mars Bar, The Shadow Lounge, Snow Drift, End-Up, Mighty, Triple Crown, and the South Bay's Cardiff Lounge. 


Heather Besos has now been residing in Oakland since October 2015. She founded the Bay Area Roller Group in 2020. She currently helps produce and DJ free day parties such as TikiFunk & Lovely Day with Mario Dubbz and friends in Oakland, CA. Over the last two and a half decades Heather B. has been winning over crowds and dance floors with her knowledge of music, track selection, and smoother than Goldie's fur coat mixing styles. She has played alongside a growing list of respected names such as Tony Hewitt, Hipp-e, Garth, Jeno, Chris Lum, Gene Hunt, Rick Preston, JT Donaldson, Joshua Iz, Diz, DJ Heather, Dehota, Collette, Joshua Heath, DJ Dan, Mark Farina, Wally Callerio, Doc Martin, Mr. V, Roger Sanchez, & Mood II Swing.
