De Oorzaak is a songwriting partnership between Frank Boonzaaijer and Leonard der Nederlanden.

The Cause is a non commercial rock band from Holland, established in 2009.
The band consists of Frank Boonzaaijer All guitars, Synths, Bass and Drums,
and Leonard der Nederlanden Lead vocals and Keyboards.
De Oorzaak works with occasional guest appearances.

Beschrijving: De Oorzaak / The Cause opgericht eind 2009 Bezetting: Frank Boonzaaijer en Leonard der Nederlanden 2008 - 2009 Start met eigen repertoire in de lijn van het Goede Doel. 2010 - 2011 De band heeft haar eigen sound gevonden en start onder de naam *The Cause* met Engelstalige pop/rock. Biografie kort: Na elkaar in jaren niet meer gezien of gesproken te hebben lopen de heren Boonzaaijer en Der Nederlanden elkaar tijdens een tribute optreden tegen het lijf. In de tachtiger jaren hebben ze veel met elkaar gemusiceerd, maar zoals het vaak in de muziek gaat, slaan ze uiteindelijk hun eigen muzikale weg in. Frank zit meer aan de progressieve rock kant van de muziek, en Leonard neigt meer naar de pop muziek. Ondertussen houdt Frank zich bezig met productiewerk voor radio en tv zenders en verricht menig wat opname en sessie werk met bekende namen uit de nederlandse muziekscene. Bands als Gruppo Sportivo ,Het Goede Doel, Powerplay, Sollution, Lademacher, Shockin Blue, en Alquin passeren o.a. de revue Leonard speelde in verschillende bands waaronder in de band Thats It met daarin de helaas te vroeg overleden Kayak, Sfinx, Europe en Taurus zanger Hans Philippo. De mannen spelen menig zaal in het Nederlandse pop circuit plat. Het spontane weerzien van de heren leidde tot de afspraak om weer samen te repeteren en mogelijk op te treden. In een geintje werd onder het genot van een goudgele rakker de bandnaam De Oorzaak verzonnen. In het eerste jaar worden er bewust nederpop nummers geschreven met als inzet: om zo snel op elkaar ingespeeld te raken. Na deze korte nederpop periode komt het treintje weer op snelheid en wordt het Engelstalige werk weer opgepakt. De eerste twee nummers: (No Sorrow) en het mooie (Couldn_t_find_the_words uit 2011) zien het daglicht en worden goed ontvangen in de media. Qua muziekstijl zijn de mannen lastig in een hokje te plaatsen... Ik hoor flarden van U2 maar ook van Icehouse, tevens hoor ik eigen invloeden met lekkere jaren 80 synths en een vertrouwd in het gehoor liggende gitaarsound. Wat mij verbaast is dat de heren totaal niet commercieel zijn ingesteld. Terwijl er terdege op hoog niveau wordt gepresteerd. Een ieder kan vrij op het internet van al dit moois genieten, zonder dat er maar een cent aan wordt verdiend. In antwoord op mijn vraag, wat zijn de toekomst plannen van De Oorzaak krijg ik als antwoord. Voorlopig hebben we erg veel lol in het samen schrijven, inspelen, opnemen en produceren van deze nummers. Als we bekend hadden willen worden, dan hadden we deze sprong al jaren geleden moeten maken... Wie zit er nu nog te wachten op twee oude mannen... (joke) er wordt gelachen. Categorie Muziek

Pipe Choir is an American alternative rock project formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1991.  It was founded by Michael J. Bostwick as a one man project.  Pipe Choir's music is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

P C III ( Pipe Choir Three) is a musical project started by Michael J. Bostwick in 2013.  P C III was developed as a platform to showcase all of Michael Bostwick’s Onistwave compositions.  Onistwave is a genre of music developed by Michael J. Bostwick.  Onistwave is described by Bostwick as:
1)  Music created with the aim of relaxing the listener.
2)  Music of an extremely long duration (a minimum of 15 minutes).
3)  Very light handed minimal percussion is used.
4)  Punctuating cymbal crashes are not used.
5)  Is not constructed with samples or loops from external sources.
6)  Music that often includes elements of pop, rock, classical, ambient, electronic, and world music.
7)  Music composed with primarily acoustic, electric, and electronic instruments.
8)  Music that incorporates a heavy use of keyboards and atmospheric treatments.
9)  Music that often incorporates minimal but heavily layered vocal lines.

PC-ONE is a musical platform created by the netlabel Pipe Choir to showcase songs created by Pipe Choir that are considered to be too sonically different from the usual Pipe Choir sound.

Since 2015, PC-ONE music has been available on the independent netlabel Pipe Choir.   PC-ONE's music is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

The Marian Circle Drum Brigade is a musical project started by Michael Bostwick of Pipe Choir, PC-ONE and P C III in 2010.

According to Bostwick, The Marian Circle Drum Brigade was inspired by his love of marching band drumlines ever since he was a child. When he was in high school he tried to join the marching band but due to his inability to read sheet music was denied the opportunity.
Inspired by this memory, Bostwick conjured up The Marian Circle Drum Brigade, a virtual marching band in the summer of 2010

The Marian Circle Drum Brigade is a project that features primarily a loud high energy drumline (performed entirely by Bostwick) and is accompanied by an aggressive industrial alternative vocal approach reminiscent of Ministry’s Al Jourgensen.  The Marian Circle Drum Brigade described by Bostwick as a combination of the Top Secret drum core and industrial alliterative metal band Ministry.

The Marian Circle Drum Brigade has released one self titled six song album available on Soundcloud and Free Music Archive.  The Marian Circle Drum Brigade's music is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

Synth Witch is a multi instrumentalist that focuses on post-industrial and experimental music. She is currently working on her debut solo release.
