Based out of Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island, I’ve been spinning tracks since 1998. Starting my journey with progressive trance, I soon expanded into house and breakbeats throughout the early 2000s. Over the last decade, my sets have evolved into a vibrant mix of nu disco and funky house, reflecting my true passion for keeping the dancefloor alive with groovy, soulful beats, and fun remixes. Born in 1993 in Azerbaijan, Agdash. Jay Aliyev's childhood passion to music motivated him to take his first production classes when he was 16. Alongside with his studies he joined several rock and rap bands as a DJ producer before he moved to Turkey for university. First year of university was spent experimenting as a vocal singer for different platforms, after which he finally focused on his long loved direction - electronic music. Jay's style fuses elegant and melodic beats accompanied by deep and soulful vocals. Being one of the pioneers of deep house and nu disco genres in Azerbaijan. His first official track called ''Remember'' was released by Maniana Records in 2018
He is co-founder and owner of Baijan Records
