We’ve been privileged enough here at Anjunadeep to work with some true dance music pioneers and musical heroes, and we’re delighted to welcome another legend to the label in Dave Angel.

From his pirate radio beginnings alongside the likes of Fabio & Grooverider in the late 80’s, through to chart-bothering techno bootlegs in 1990, and his genre-defining work on the iconic R&S records, Dave played a huge part in the early development of acid house and UK techno. “Quartz” sees him delve into bass-heavy house territory, and brings some serious groove to the floor.

Structured but slipping, HOW I FEEL  moves between presence and control, instinct and oversight.

A meditation on rhythm, ritual, and the invisible systems that surround them.

As I get most of my inspiration from Detroit music I did this mix filled with classics which I would never put all together in a dj set.. but I know I'm not the only one who would love to hear all of these together in 1 mix, so here you go :) 
This is not a hard driving techno mix. This is Detroit; musical, melodic, funky, groovy and raw.
Obviously there are many more beautiful classic ones from Detroit -> can't believe I didn't squeeze in Knights of the Jaguar which is one of favorite tracks ever made -   so expect a part 2 as well ;)
