Every now & then a demo lands into our inbox and shapes the future of the label. Julian Koerndl's track 'Messiah' did just that and there's more to come from him later this year.
Julian has been honing his craft in the studio for the past year as has been a prominent name in the electronic underground scene kicks things off nicely with his original mix of 'Messiah'. The full-on festival vibes shine through, as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords and original vocals sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth.

Making their debut on Somatic are French duo Mozaik. After outings on such labels as Eklektisch, Sapiens & Moblack, The boys have created a rework full of tension from the word go, developing a unique style; consisting of dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fit in any kind of club or festival.

Up next and also making his debut is Matt Klear. Matt caught our attention earlier this year with his signature old school 2 step sounds brought forward into the 21st century. The groove and melodies are the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow and creating an air of sophistication.

From Berlin with a lot of love, the respected Portuguese producer has crafted a masterpiece. Jepe´s ¨astral journey¨ consists of three dance floor gems. A perfect combination of elements make up this release. The title that gives name to the ep can not be more accurate with a cosmic sound where most contemporary elements are complemented by a fine and exquisite melody. Within "Hama" we find a tense progression that hooks us throughout its duration. Elegance and hardness are the characteristics that make up the "Closer Encounter" that accompanied by aggressive percussions will make you remember this track forever. Baikal Nomads presents an downtempo/organic house release with melodic grooves and trippy atmosphere by gingembrę and blue Dietrich.

It's the first time that gingembrę and blue Dietrich have collaborated, and it's also each of their debuts on the Baikal Nomads record label. They first made contact via Murmure Records, where they have released their individual music, alongside doing A&R for the imprint.

blue Dietrich is a Brazilian artist living in France, his progressive style of organic house infuses jazz influences with melodic synthesisers and crisp percussion. He is a skilled DJ whose productions channel his knowledge of the dance floor, and his tracks have been released by respected record labels such as Bar 25 Music and Cafe De Anatolia.

gingembrę is a downtempo artist from Germany, and his smouldering style has a growing suspense with majestic melodies and immersive atmosphere. He has an international fanbase, and has played shows everywhere from Burning Man to Landjuweel in Amsterdam. gingembrę's tracks and remixes can be found on imprints including Magician On Duty, down., Serafin Audio, and MONADA.

"Thou Shall Believe in Witches" is the collaborative original track on the release, and it's got a magical vocal sample that fits with the spellbinding vibe of its soaring pads and throbbing bassline. gingembrę's solo rework of the second track "Planes Are Fireflies" drops the tempo and strips back the drums to let the enchanting synths cast their hallucinatory spell. blue Dietrich also delivers a solo version of "Planes Are Fireflies," defined by shuffling drums and a jazzy bassline with distorted tones.
