The Alchemy of Sound + Vision. The team: an award-winning architect and designer, a full-blooded musician, a singer and electro- wunderkind, and an author and filmmaker working on international film projects. They have all joined forces as Doctors On Decks to deliver a multimedia synthesis of the arts.
In a world of consumption, of polished surface without substance, we search for pure love. But real closeness is hardly bearable in this world, and so we disappear in THE FOG.
From the brightest heights we go into the deepest darkness. We are on a mission into the Minus. We are falling through THE DEVIL ́S DOOR, further and further into infinity.
The two tracks deliver a deep melodic sound supporting the out of this world falsetto vocals by DOD's mastermind Severin Su that emotionally capture the specific atmosphere of The-Minus.

Following their highly acclaimed ’Sweet Ease’  / ‘Hybrid Society’, which reached No.1 on Beatport Indie Dance towards the end of 2021 and featured in countless DJ sets, Matthias Meyer and Budakid return to Watergate Records with another powerful collaboration, ’Saye’ / ’System’ released on October 14th.

Opening track 'Saye’ captures the inventive and sparkling production both Berlin-based artists have become renowned for. Hypnotic organ chords are deployed alongside euphoric vocal chops and jagged, driving beats to create a truly memorable track which is already generating a huge reaction on dance-floors when it has been road tested in recent Matthias Meyer and Budakid DJ sets. 

The stirring and atmospheric ’System’ balances ’Saye’ perfectly. Budakid’s haunting vocal is presented alongside glitchy, yet etherial synthesizer sequences with the central theme the idea that we are living in a broken system.
