Here is my very first mix that I was allowed to record for the great Ashore crew in January 2019. 
This set means a lot to me. It shows where it all started and that's why I want to share it with you.

"Ich bin Rena Volvo und komme aus Berlin.  
Ich hab im Sommer 2018 mit dem Plattenspielen angefangen und hatte das Glück gleich zu Beginn im Monarch am Kotti spielen zu dürfen. Mein Homie Marian Tone von Wedding Soul hatte mich dazu eingeladen und so entstand unsere gemeinsame Partyreihe SUA ONDA. 
Hauptsächlich digge ich Discomusik aus aller Welt, habe aber eine Vorliebe zu den 80ern. Der größte Teil meiner Platten besteht wohl aus Italo-Disco und so kam es, dass ich euch auch ein reines Italo-Set mitgebracht habe. Ich liebe an dem Genre den Kitsch und dass sich die Leute in der Szene nicht so übertrieben ernst nehmen, sondern die gemeinsame gute Zeit im Vordergrund steht. Ich bin so dankbar und glücklich da reingerutscht zu sein. 

Eine meiner ersten Scheiben war Witch von Helen, der Track mich total weggeblasen. Diese Energie und dieser massive Sound der einen einfach überrollt und mit so wundervollen Gefühlen und so viel Power füllt. Das macht mich einfach süchtig. 
Ich hoffe ihr habt Spaß beim Hören und ich sag: Ciao e Grazie ragazzi ;)

Ich finde es super, dass sich die Zeiten ändern und sich immer mehr weibliche Djs am Geschehen beteiligen. Natürlich ist das auch so, weil sich das von Männern dominierte Business verändert hat, die Nachfrage nach Female Artists da ist und die Zeit einfach auch nach Veränderung schreit. Dennoch ärgere ich mich darüber, wenn ich angefragt werde, weil unbedingt noch 'ne Frau ins Line Up soll. Das ist für mich irgendwie der falsche Weg. Ich hab keinen Bock das Quotenweibchen zu spielen, ich will gebucht werden weil die Leute meinen Sound feiern."

Maltitz lives as a DJ, producer and musician in Berlin. He is known for his eclectic style and brings together influences from Italo Disco, Indie Dance, House & Wave in his DJ sets, which is also reflected in his diverse art of music production. Maltitz's energetic DJ sets thrive on the dynamic atmosphere, characterized by diverse genre excursions and rapid tempo changes. He surprises with the mixture of humor, sex appeal and the right selection for the night and always looks for the emotional connection to the audience. He is a well-known DJ in the Berlin club scene and plays in venues such as the Funkhaus (porcelain bar), Salon - zur Wilden Renate, //about:blank, Golden Gate, Æden, Ipse, Paloma Bar and Sisyphos. As an experienced DJ, he has been a guest at the Wilde Möhre and the Feel Festival. He also gained a reputation outside of Berlin and played in clubs in cities such as Frankfurt, Hamburg, Kassel or Dresden. In the local PAL club in Hamburg he plays alongside with stage luminaries like Boris, FJAAK, Sedef Adasi, Héctor Oaks or Spencer Parker, whereby his universally known closing sets can last up to six hours.

Just a jackknife.

No better way to describe Liesa’s eclectic style meandering between Dark/Italo Disco, Acid House and always with some Synthwave-cherries on top. Her driving sound leaves no room for chin-stroking but is played to stab.

Bavarian-bred, Berlin-based, Liesa started her residency at the famous Hamam Nights in Augsburg in 2017. After moving to Berlin, she swiftly became part of the local scene and also played in her side-project GrizzLiesa. 

In 2021, Liesa joined the lovely family of Cologne’s &&booking. She currently plays gigs all over Germany.

Goldie Palm reist in ihren Sets durch einige Genres der elektronischen Musik. Besonders groß ist ihre Liebe aber für süßen, vocal-lastigen & bouncy House und Indie-Dance, immer geführt von starken basslines und aufbauendem Tempo. Musik war schon immer großes Thema, ob beim singen, auf dem dance floor und seit einigen Jahren auch beim mixen - wenn die Auswahl stimmt ist Herzklopfen vorprogrammiert. Seit über zwei Jahren hosted sie die online Radio Show Palm Paradise auf RBL Berlin. Ende 2021 hat sie sich für einen lang überfälligen Tapetenwechsel und den Umzug nach Leipzig entschieden und wurde kurz darauf Teil der Vacanza Crew, mit der sie Events plant und eine wöchentliche Podcast Reihe organisiert.

She one of the greatest esponent of the underground music scene here in Berlin, also hosting "Sua Onda" a party series at Monarch in Kotti (hope to see her again in action soon)
This mix rigorously explores that sounds.. imagine having a DeLorean now you can be catapulted in 1985 and go back and forth, well you don't need special fuels or plutonium just press play.. be careful guys, Rena Volvo can t be stopped.. don t say we hadn t warned you!
