COPYCATT has been redefining production and engineering paradigms in bass music  for the last four years and running. His obtuse, frequency-splitting textures and stylistic groove have been a constant inspiration for today’s incoming producers and audiophiles. Through an abundance of online tutorials and streams, he’s made an indelible impact on the sound design and production processes favored by his contemporaries. On top of such a massive influence across the underground music spectrum, he’s in the prime of his life; at 22 years old, his music has travelled across continents and sound systems, spreading low-end gospel from sea to sea.   

For this edition of Rusted Rhythms, he’s graciously provided an exclusive mix of unreleased music from his growing stash. It’s a brash, boisterous dive into potent bass lines and head-nod rhythms. When we picked it up again in our studios we went on a strange tangent that initially didn’t seem to make sense. But slowly it unfolded into a song that wanted to be about letting go, about new horizons and great memories. And hints of jazzy disco, which of course as you know is a staple of the Noisia and Upbeats sound since time immemorial, umm right, please listen to our weird song.”
