RENDER RECORDINGS showcases its second Various Artists compilation. RNDR005 is a showcase of unique artists in the western Canadian breaks, bass house, and techno scene. This compilation kicks off with a fresh bass house track titled “Dream Land” by Freddy J, which features the smooth lyrical flows of Rubix. We then move into some swinging, funky breakbeats with FunkinRight and his track titled “Funky Like.” Bright Idea adds to the Glitch Hop tip with his crunchy beats and glitchy textures on his track titled “Glitchin Aboot.” So So Fresh label boss, Mctwist, brings some serious heat with his booty breaks track titled “One Time Only.” AGE takes us on a journey into acid breaks and leftfield techno with his jam “Acid Therapy.” Dojo Entertainment boss, Donald Bump, uses some clever sampling and brings that G-Funk vibe on his breaks track titled “Creepin & Crawling.” SwaggaCats closes off the release with his peak time techno track “WhenUrAlone.”

A frequent contributor to our release schedule, Garlic Party's signature sound is reminiscent of some of the Fractal forest greats of years past.  His blend of old school sounds and knee slappin' basslines  would've been scooped up by Scour records or Ghettofunk back in the day - but nowadays you can find him as a resident artists at PG Records,  holding down the fort for oldschool 110 glitch and funk, reinventing the sounds of old, staying true to their roots and giving them new life in 2022.

Garlic Party's contribution to the album is twofold, not only does he have a tasty glitch hop banger featured on the album - he is also the genius behind our awesome artwork, check out his art!

Can I tell you a story?
Five years ago, I wrote a song. At the time, it may not have been even my best song. Then something happened. Life happened, and around that life happening, the song continued to resonate with me. As I grew as an artist, the song came along with me and grew too. It has been through countless revisions (42 major revisions in actuality). Each month I got a little better as an artist, and each year I grew in size and stature as a person and as a musician. This song was following every move I made, every improvement, every bittersweet moment and every triumph. By the end of the writing process what I had written wasn’t truly a song, it was my journey as the person I have become over the past 5 years.

After all this time, I am so happy to finally show what I have made to the world. It has been a breath of fresh air to finally feel as if I am worthy of showing it to the world. I’ll eventually sit down and talk about this song over on my YouTube if you so choose to stick around.

I had so much enjoyment working on this project, and I hope you will enjoy listening to it as I have had making it.

a feeling that the universe is conspiring for one's own benefit.

A friend of mine came up with the term "Pro-Noia", the opposite of paranoia, and I think it fits perfectly for this track. Coming back into the studio, I was pumped and full of energy, and through the creative process of creating this piece, I truly felt that the world was on my side, having my back. Initially, I was going to make it part of a release, but I feel that it's fitting to put it out into the world for everyone to dance to. Right now. Why wait? ENJOY!
