Everything was turned sideways, upside down. The sky split open, and in that vast chasm of wind and rain, nothing held form or memory. The days melted into an endless, drenching blur. It seemed as though time itself had forgotten how to turn.
It gathered itself slowly, almost shyly, as though it were afraid of what had been, afraid of what it would be. But it gathered, nonetheless, folding into the fabric of the world with a quiet, relentless hunger.

And it was not just the sky that changed. Beneath it, the ground exhaled, surprised, as if waking from a long, forced sleep. It was not an end, nor a beginning. It was the moment when time paused to understand its own nature. A moment of clarity, not found in what had passed, nor in what was to come, but in the quiet realisation that both had always been one.

And the light... it did not burn, did not sear, but it touched gently, as though the world was finally ready to be seen—not for what it had been, nor for what it was to be, but for what it simply was. A shimmer. A vibration. A truth again.

In this, the silence was not empty. It was a waiting. A beckoning. A sign that something had changed in the deepest of ways. And perhaps, if one dared to look closely enough, the first true question of all was not, what had changed—but how could the light be so new, when it had always been here?

The storm had not ended, it had simply found its place in the world.
