Burning Out is Natascha Polké’s most delicate yet confronting tune. Starting off sparsely, her voice finds its way under your skin instantly. Warm chimes effortlessly lead the way and tie in simmering synth pads that keep building steadily. Spinning in melancholy this production has its own mind, grows at its own pace and takes just the right amount of time to do so. Come the second verse, lush and subtle vocal harmonies find their way in naturally, producing a purposeful momentum before the first chorus kicks in, with a beat that starts to drive things forward. But even when the track is lead by the refreshingly decisive groove, an air of melancholy underpins every move and motion. Wonderful organic samples give this track a strong sense of identity, the balance between a fleeting chilling atmosphere and intimate honesty makes it a roll out to which you’ll want to surrender.

This is a big day for us. We are happy to introduce ‚Feral Garden‘, the collaborative project of Felix, Raphael, Yannek Maunz and Johanson, all YION co-founders and long-time collaborators. For the introduction of this new official title and according live project, the three chose to release the stage-tested ‚Tell Me‘ that Felix and Yannek began to work on in 2022. A break-beat inspired hard hitting anthem, full of power and mystique - just the right soundtrack for such a notable moment. Here’s to ‚Feral Garden‘ - and the great things to come.

For their next move, Hungry Music welcomes back N'to for another exceptional release. As always, it is a superior and ingenious electronic music matter from the first beat to the last.

Dutch prodigy Budakid returns to Exploited for his third mesmerising EP on the label, with two fresh new opuses for your delectation. 

The End is one of his typically cinematic tracks, reminiscent of 90s melodic breakbeat types Hybrid. Hovering, Reese-toned bass looms subtly over intricate, light broken beats and gently enveloping string progressions. Crisp and spacious, the arrangement is honed to perfection. Muted, gated stabs echo the ghost of 90s trance in the breakdown, fusing beautifully with the breaks when the beat drops back in. Soft cymbal rides splash across the surface as the elements fuse back together for a restrained crescendo. Perfect for the afterhours or a spot of deep meditation.

Linguistic sees Budakid in more of a deep house / melodic techno mood. Subtle synth licks waft across the stereo field as live percussion forms a groove and wildlife sounds create a heady atmosphere deep in the distance. A plodding groovy bassline drives its way into the foreground, while minimialist layers of electronics build the mood. The brain-twisting breakdown makes more great use of noise gating as a dizzying lead soars and pulses. Its a great piece of work that centres more on mood and texture than melody, and in doing so recalls classic progressive house sounds.
