
The Source is a collaborative production project which collaborates on single releases with producers by requesting them to build on an existing concept researched by the source to create what the source considers to be sounds emenating directly from the beginning and end of all things in the universe, the Source. Influenced by the sounds created as far back as the early 1980′s for Commodore 64 Game Soundtracks, the Source borrows heavily from this field whilst also embarking into new experimental territory to create powerful, crushing 8 bit flourished, hip hopfully triumphant and basstastically emotional impacting music using melodies and true words to amalgamate into a dagger which aims straight at the jugular of the commercial world. With a clear Reggae sentiment, a punk attitude, hiphop garnerings and dancefloor appeal, the undeniable sound of the source married to it’s potent message will not fail to win over even the seasoned cynic. Expect a live laptop show led by the Sourceress with some toys and vocals that will strike you with the force of an armoured tank.

The 5 tracks come in a beautifully packaged animated sleeve.  ‘Aries’ glides in with a deeply introspective march tying gently to ‘Cosmos’ which is just that, an escape to a yet inexperienced mood of nostalgic bliss with subtle electro interference that only a true visionary can inspire with thoughtful leanings into spacey ambience which introduces ‘Charade’ which by now would have soothed the paws off any beast you had in the area.  Track 4 lifts you up with a piece of wonky originality which will have you hovering over the rewind button bringing us to an ending which comes too soon in ‘Mercury,’ a blinding beauty of a piece summing up the sheer brilliance that marks this exciting new Scottish gem.

This one is a collection of 10 tracks tightly fitted in dubwise-no-compromise style, spreading the message of love. You will hear here RazTaMama’s and Mr. Borecki’s (Young Pistols Crew) vocals, as well as saxophone sections by Paweł Push (Dub Rising) and Paweł Feduch (Afrotuba). Łukasz Lisak, known from PapaDram project (Wrocław), added his congas. The album was recorded in the Astralne Studio in Wrocław and Kirby Farm in England.
