The Walk On By are a Sydney based 4-piece formed in May 2008. The sound of the band is an involuntary cross-genre concoction of 80's post-punk, 60's garage surf rock, a touch of swagger and demented blues, a splash of no wave, all thrown together with absinthe, soda and a twist of lemon.

September 2009 saw the band perform a 6 show tour of Spain, in 2010 the band returned to conquer greater Europe, with a 7 show tour covering Spain, France, Holland and the UK. 

September 2011 The Walk On By are doing a 2 week promotional tour of Spain and France taking friends Psychonanny &amp; The Baby Shakers along for the ride. 2012 will see the band for a 4 week tour or Europe and there are whispers that USA is on the cards.

Drawing inspiration from the Australian underground and their urban existence, the band plays live as if each show will be their last. Broken instruments, blown PA’s and dislocated knees have featured at past shows.

Their growing back catalogue includes two EP releases (The Walk On By, 2008; Mislaid, 2008), a 7” vinyl pressing (Delilah, 2009) and their début LP a 12" Vinyl (Euro Trash, 2011)
