My name is Renny J, and I come from a legacy of well known & accomplished 1st Chair Trumpet players (my grandfather & father... Reunald Sr. & Jr." respectively) who have collectively played with Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Nat King Cole, & Count Basie, James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr., The 5th Dimension, Diana Ross, Micheal Jackson, The Funk Brothers & other well-known artists. You can hear my dad's trumpet playing on the television theme songs "Sanford & Son" & "Ironside", as well as Chaka Khan & Rufus' song, "At Midnight".

I was raised in Brooklyn, NY, and because of my unique playing style, I've played with and/or recorded with artists such as E-40, Parliament/Funkadelic, Donna Summer, Toni Braxton, Billy Ocean, Alicia Keys, as well as a host of other artists.  I currently write music for Film & Television as well as produce upcoming artists.
