Rooted Sundays was created in 2013 by U.L. Turner and Michael Nelson. What began as a weekly House appreciation night, turned into a movement that brought some of the best deejays together from Joliet to Chicago, and represented a cultural vibe that we call Rooted Sundays. Genres of Soul, House, HipHop and Drum and Bass was our backbone that brought the masses together to enjoy the elements of a good time and good music. Three years later, we still define ourselves with the statement of appreciation and dedication to the respect of our movement and the people who helped us evolve with the progression of our culture.
