Machine is a club night championing new & upcoming techno, founded in 2011 by UK techno heavyweights Ben Sims & Kirk Degiorgio.
 
Since it’s inception the guys have hosted 6 parties in London as well as editions at El Row Barcelona, Fabrik Madrid, Trouw Amsterdam, Berghain Berlin and more; Machine has set a precedent for booking only high quality and forward thinking guests - such as Robert Hood, Surgeon, Kevin Saunderson, Rolando, Adam X, Untold, A Made Up Sound, Luke Slater, Oscar Mulero, James Ruskin and many more, encouraging all to break away from their comfort zones to follow the Machine theme of new and unreleased music, with stunning results. 
  
This September, Machine presents a very special lineup – 2 rooms, 4 DJs, each playing an long sets over Corsica Studio’s famous Funktion-1 rigs.
 
Joining Ben & Kirk are 2 of their current fave party rockers… RØDHÅD has made a name for himself as one of Berlin’s most forward thinking DJs. His reputation is of playing seamless sets of Techno & House - while keeping the mood deep and powerful. His recent Boiler Room set is regarded as one of the best shows in the series yet. ROD is an alias of Rotterdam based House stalwart Benny Rodrigues, famed for his peak time sets that see him drop everything from jacking Chicago House to Detroit machine funking Techno plus hosting a series of ROD NACHT events where he plays all night long. As an recording artist he has contributed to Ben Klock's Klockwork label, Chris Liebings CLR, Adam Beyers Drumcode and Slams Soma, so it's fair to say he's certainly a DJs favourite with his studio work too. 
 
Machine resident & curator Ben Sims plays a very special extended DJ set after the UK debut of his live set at the July party. Known for his intensity and dextrous skill on the decks, he has built a deserved reputation as one of the UK’s most in-demand and respected techno producer and DJs. 
 
Fellow Machine resident and co-founder Kirk Degiorgio completes the lineup. With decades of experience in the UK scene, Kirk is commonly acknowledged as the first high-profile DJ to move completely to using Ableton and in September he'll be digitally dropping a 4 hour set of new Techno, featuring a wealth of upcoming material from his ART label and of course forthcoming gems from the man himself.

A stone thrown, just to watch it fly. A projectile launched for the sole purpose of drawing a ballistic trajectory in the sky.
The Solens arc is what remains after the subtraction of the goal; a simple parabolic curve defined by gravity, impulse and starting angle. No target to hit, no catharsis to wait for, just the beauty of the flight.

The Arc as the purpose, in the form of four variations, constructed from disintegrated melodic textures and dismantled beats. Each sequences are assembled seamlessly into dense, evolving compositions, while keeping their autonomy, and their role in the global dramaturgy.

Pointillist serial loops morph into abrasive rave anthems, broken club rhythms are refitted into uneven patterns, like deconstructivist sound architectures. Industrial techno stompers dissolve into granular sound waves and filtered space pads, before being overtaken by cinematic drums and rising arpeggios.

Solens Arc is Kangding Ray’s fourth Album for raster-noton.

Franco Biglieri ,aka NWHR, is a producer and DJ from Buenos Aires, Argentina. he has released several Ep’s on diverse labels out there like Illegal Alien, Ear to Ground, Injected Poison to name but a few.

His speciality is dense and textured techno, rugged and properly distorted and not for the faint hearted. His musical discourse has always a foot in the future, usually with a dystopian touch.

Listern Wisdom introduces us in the wormhole acting as a beatless intro that goes straight into action with Electrostatic which is made of twisted and phased acidic lines mashed onto a compressed groove on the best Mike Parker tradition. The collision of abstract synths with precise grooves become a massive dancefloor disturbing tool.

Metamorphism begins from below, with all filtered elements growing frequencies wisely until a tremendous sub bass takes control of the room. 

Nematoblastic appears like a logical continuation of the previous track, but with a busier rhythm, the super bass is still there but the synthetic side has more elements to showcase. Hi pitched noises and drones add tension to the overall feel transforming the track into peak time galore in seconds. A manual about how proper techno should be.

Omnius Resonance is a clubby track, shuffled and dynamic beats, funky synth lines, electricity and tension properly administered.

Archaeological Sites wink at the old Birmingham sound with a Regis-like almost EBM sequence rolling fast over a minimal kick and hat pattern. 

Virtus says goodbye showing the most soulful side of this producer, still intense and abstract but with a deeper approach to techno.

Franco Biglieri, también conocido como NWHR, es un productor y DJ de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ha lanzado varios EP 's en diversos sellos como Illegal Alien, Ear to Ground, Injected Poison, por nombrar solo algunos.

Su especialidad es el techno denso y texturizado, robusto y adecuadamente distorsionado y no para los débiles de corazón. Su discurso musical tiene siempre un pie en el futuro, normalmente con un toque distópico.

Listern Wisdom nos introduce en el agujero de gusano actuando como una introducción sin ritmo que nos lleva directamente a la acción con Electrostatic, hecho a base de líneas ácidas retorcidas y escalonadas fusionadas con un ritmo comprimido en la mejor tradición de Mike Parker. La colisión de sintetizadores abstractos con ritmos precisos se convierte en una herramienta inquietante para la pista de baile.

Metamorphism comienza desde abajo, con todos los elementos filtrados aumentando las frecuencias sabiamente hasta que un tremendo subgrave toma el control de la situación.

Nematoblastic aparece como una continuación lógica del track anterior, pero con un ritmo más ajetreado, el super bass sigue ahí pero el lado sintético tiene más elementos que mostrar. Los ruidos agudos y los drones agregan tensión a la sensación general, transformando la pista en una lucura en segundos. Un manual sobre cómo debe ser el techno adecuado.

Omnius Resonance es una pista de club, ritmos aleatorios y dinámicos, líneas de sintetizador funky, electricidad y tensión adecuadamente administradas.

Archaeological Sites hace un guiño al viejo sonido de Birmingham con una secuencia casi de EBM al estilo de Regis que avanza rápidamente sobre un patrón mínimo de bombo y hi hat..

Virtus se despide mostrando el lado más soul de este productor, todavía intenso y abstracto pero con un acercamiento más profundo al techno.

Keeping it widescreen throughout and the percussion pulls focus. At times slick and sultry, at others more ominous and ill-tempered, we’re dishing out high-velocity dynamics across four distinct trax. Constantly nudging towards the peak-time, but with plenty of breathy sensuality and dappled melody as he flexes a detailed, sound-sensitive approach.

Drums, drums and more drums. You know the deal by now: direct torque in full effect as we traverse the rugged, funked-out and percussive. Plenty of trippy flourish for good measure too, from humid fusions of rainforest FX and hallucinatory detail to light trail synths punching through inky abyss.

It all recalls Terry Francis’ and his Housey Doingz project at the peak of their powers. Big stabs, big forward momentum. Think the golden era of their Wiggle parties circa 1999.

This is the first solo work by Kwartz released by the Warm Up imprint. A vinyl four-tracker and an extended seven track EP as its digital counterpart.
The young Spanish talent displays all his production skills in this release that opens with the compact kick drums and arpeggiated madness of "Rite", spiced with sweeps and drones that interweave with the hypnotic arrangement. In his first rework, Oscar Mulero reduces the bass drum punch, twists the arpeggiated synth line with reverb and early reflections, and adds an overall guerrilla feel to the sound.
Next up is "Remix B", also by Oscar. This is a less aggressive version, more for building a set. The elements appear slowly, with flanged synth lines as principal motif.
"Black Horse" starts with an ambient mood, till the industrial groove comes in and creates a mixture of meditation and aggression that grows and grows to utter madness. "Unknown territories" contains part of the mood felt in "Rite", although this time the sequence is more FM bell-like and the drums are less aggressive, mental and deep.
The digital format includes two extra reworks from Oscar Mulero to "Unknown territories". In the first one he reduces the notes of the main sequence and spreads the stereo of the percussive elements, whereas in the second, he breaks the beats, filters the synths and adds a more abstract perspective.

nthng finally follows up his four stunning EPs with a full album proper, arriving in a whopping 3xLP pack. 

Arriving a good 6 months after the LT029.5 album sampler which debuted both Soms and In My Dreams, nthng adds another seven hazy, hooded techno bangers to those to make up a pretty dazzling body of work. 

Opener 'Touches' is true ambient bliss, with shrouded, blissful synths fuzzing into view and cut through by a soft low distant sunlight. 

Both Galaxy and Eternal thump into view with a hi-paced drums colliding and clashing with syncopated stabs and smooth dusty baselines, recalling the tender techno-trance precipice danced by Dutch producers at the start of the 90's. 

The huge mysterious fan favourite and title track It Never Ends gets it's pride of place with 9 mins of deep, cavernous techno, all rippling with epic string-synths and washes of mountainous reverb. 

Even deeper numbers are extracted from the hard-drive, including the pensively, digitally-bubbling computer jam Unity sitting tidily alongside the super deep and subtle rolls of Abyss. 

Rounding the album out is the appropriately-titled Last. A dark, shimmering, almost emotionless number that cements a different idea of the future. A hard, pounding, yelping, depth-charged technoid closer. 

For us, the album feels like a real masterpiece, conjuring a spectrum of intimate and emotive moods, feelings and nostalgia-tinged memories that float into the mind, like the settling fog in the valley on a crisp winters morning.
