"For this mix I tried to hone in on a specific sound that I've been really into of late. I'd characterise a lot of it as bleepy minimal IDM but it traverses through a few different styles. A lot of this mix is inspired by Bauri who's an amazing Swedish producer I've been listening to non-stop over the past year. Glitch/experimental artists such as Frank Bretschneider, Ryoji Ikeda and Richard Devine were also a big inspo for me, their tracks pop up quite often throughout the mix."

Bristol hard-hitting native, @gallegos_1991 is back with a 4 track solo EP for the 17th Original Series release on Banoffee Pies Records -  and boy oh boy, it ain’t too shabby! ‘A Sentiment of Love,’ (released just last week) is a nostalgic reflection and ode to UK Club Culture. 

With thumping bass lines and heavy distortion, coupled with euphoric riffs and acid lines that send you soaring, the EP feels like the steady progression of a bloody good night out. Overall it is an exemplary tribute to not only UK Club Culture, but to Gallegos’ accomplished and distinctive sound.

Daniel Rincón is a Colombian-Canadian artist known for his techno productions under the name NAP, as well as Ambien Baby, his collaborative project with D. Tiffany. But it's with his Isla label that Rincón has made the largest impact. Starting as a tape imprint in 2016 with releases from You're Me, Big Zen and ZDBT, Isla has since evolved into a full-on vinyl label releasing psychedelic electronic music from Canada and beyond, reaching back into the past with archival material from Exquisite Corpse and new music from Michael Red and Rincón himself.
