Let's meet our dj for episode 598, LQ:

LQ currently promotes the Run It Red jungle sessions events in Melbourne as well as the Run it Red vinyl label which is the subsidiary label to Echo Chamber Sound, also releasing vinyl, short run dubplates and digital releases. He is the owner and operator of the Echo Chamber soundsystem and has provided sound for events featuring Loefah, V.I.V.E.K, The Bug and Digital, as well as DJ support for international artists: Mala, Goth Trad, RSD, N Type, Truth, Big Bud, Remarc, Paradox, Ricky Force and many more.

LQ plays original productions and specials off acetate dubplates that are cut at Transition Studios in London and Dubstudio Bristol as well as digging deep into his vinyl collection of over approximately 4000 plates and counting. 2023 will see LQ move into 100% original and unreleased DJ sets and more collaborations with MIdnight Dubs, MSHCode, Kloke and more.

This time on Svara Radio went B2B 2 tunes each with label boss of @futureretrolondon Tim Reaper @tim-reaper this one is full of dubplates and some favourites thrown in for good measure. A power packed hour of Jungle before his gig at Meraki in Liverpool on 14.02.25.

Locked Concept’s first release of the year comes from Tellus and Uneven, featuring a superb guest appearance from Elusive Elements and a remix by Akuratyde.

The opening and title track, Last Minute, is a true contribution to the autonomic sound—familiar territory for both Tellus and Uneven.

Elusive Elements steps up to join Uneven on Aestivation, keeping things half-time, moody, and deeply rooted in the autonomic style. This beautifully crafted piece builds slowly, leading into an emotive second drop.

Tellus returns alongside Uneven for Tidal Reveries, this time slowing the tempo. While this track differs in BPM from the rest of the EP, it maintains the signature sonics both Tellus and Uneven are known for across their catalogues.

Akuratyde’s remix of Moving On by Tellus closes out the EP. Staying true to the essence of the original, Akuratyde lifts the BPM from 130 to 170 and adds some groovy breaks for good measure.

Tellus and Uneven’s sound and production continue to evolve and expand beyond genre, and it’s unlikely this will be the last time we see these two innovative producers collaborating.
