Here's the first of a few sets/mixes I'll be posting up. It's a recording of my mate DJ Deep and me going b2b in Paris at one of his Deeply Rooted nights at Rex from a couple of years back. It’s never been online before and it was a spontaneous, end of the night kinda thing and lots of fun. Hopefully you can hear that in the recording. As well as current heat from the time, there's a healthy sprinkling of classics, some Detroit faves in there for the heads and aptly finishes with a remix 'Phuture will survive'. Keeping things as industrial as possible, @Duellistuk has never strayed too far from his resolute style and in doing so has made a name for himself in the UK and abroad. The British producer, DJ, and live performer has maintained his fervent attitude for several years now, with releases on Obscuur, Bulletdodge, and more demonstrating his consistency in creating dark productions for techno raves.
 
In April last year, Duellist launched his own label, Trialz Records, alongside Axel Sohns, with the first EP presenting 13 tracks from an exceptional array of artists who he co-assembled for the inauguration. The imprint - focusing on raw, distorted techno – has gone on to deliver eight searing releases in total, with the most recent EP in July.
 
For our next DETECT, we present an exclusive mix from Duellist. As those who have become familiar with his presence in the booth understand well, this one hour recording is mayhem of the most addictive kind.

The Black Bones story is born out of a shared obsession for crate digging, collecting, and the playing of weird and wonderful music. Their releases so far have manifested in a highly-sought series of seven psychedelic disco 12”s - picking up numerous Record of the Week plaudits on the way.

This considered curation and skill for pulling together far-flung sounds fully informs their first original material, coming via @touchsensitiverecords. These four bold and adventurous club cuts are a thrilling mix of straight-up house sounds, new beat, industrial, dub, sleaze and all the other good shit that comes with low-lighting and a heavy soundsystem.

The EP is closed by 'Gabi’ which sounds like minimal gone maximal with an insane industrial switch-up.
