This is amazing. The beginning gives me almost a feeling of 90s era U2 and then it just continues evolving and adding textures and sounds. Love it!

Never been to Birdland though I’m a big Charlie 'Yardbird' Parker fan. This track, however, is more about the Tweetie variety, they are such a delight, I love listening to their toons. I bought this children's guitar at GoodWill for less than $15... I put $6 worth of good nylon strings on it.  And then I just played it.  Maybe I'm out of line... especially since I set the levels too high when recording it.  But there's something about this recording: I guess beauty is in the ear of the beholder...

Brian would have been 70 today, three years younger than one of his boyhood heroes, Eric Clapton and, in my totally unbiased opinion, every bit as good.  I always thought he would grow old playing his guitar, singing his favourite songs to all who'd listen, and there would have been plenty that would.  I still wake up expecting him to be there and the realisation that my music King has gone is still as painful as ever.    
Some of you may remember the original version (https://soundcloud.com/mountain-songs/whos-gonna-be-my-king-by-cripple-club-provisional-mix), uploaded a couple of years back.  This new mix from Hans arrived out of the blue and was, as you can imagine, the most wonderful surprise -  Gal and me were just blown away.  All the credit for this 'return' goes to him.  Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
