La Fleur's new 'Right Beside You' EP marks the end of her busiest summer on record. A residency at Hot Since 82's Labyrinth parties at Pacha in Ibiza, touring Brazil with the Watergate crew and remixing their new single from the mighty Sasha have lead to it being a season to remember.

The title track, ‘Right Behind You', features vocals from Austrian vocalist/songwriter Lula, who is best known for her distinctive work on Danny Tenaglia club classics like La Fleur favourite ‘Read My Lips’.

La Fleur said: “Lula's voice is special and distinct. Hearing her unique way of vocalising on favourite tracks of mine from back in the day (like Tenaglia's '98 single 'Read My Lips' for example), I just felt I had to reach out to her. Creating 'Right Behind You' was a labour of love and we spent months working on it until we finally got to the definitive version.”

Joyce Muniz joins the roster of Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint with her ’39 Degrees’ EP, backed with a remix from Bushwacka. Second track on the EP, ‘Morning Stories’ lays focus on a pulsating low-end drive and off-kilter, ethereal stab sequences as organic percussive hits wander amongst the composition.

Eva Be has been a key figure on the development of Berlin underground club culture, going back to the 90s and her involvement with the Sonar Kollektiv crew that included the likes of Dixon, Ame and Jazzanova, to name a few. A highly talented producer and DJ, this EP on Poker Flat Wax showcases her skillful mastery of house music.

'Delight' kicks things off on the A side, a low slung groove with Chicago-esque percussion that pops out of the speakers. Some of Eva’s love for dub and reggae is also present - vocals and chord stabs echo and shimmer across the track.

'Breathe' is a little more  floor focussed - a hard knocking kick starts this off and the track develops into one of those deep, emotional and driving tracks that get dance floors into a serious states of ecstasy.

Flip the wax and 'Pills' is the third offering for this release - precise-yet-wonky drums, breakbeats, deep pads and synth lines that gel together into a perfect, hedonistic whole.

The cutting edge sound of Viennese/Berlin electronica is here! Joyce Muniz is back to tear up your local dancefloor with another two carefully honed grooves, this time pushing herself in perhaps her most techno-focused direction yet.

Rolling tech-leaning percussive provides the backbone of ‘Microdosing’ along with throbbing monotone bass grunts. Subtle melodics work their way into the mix along with stuttered vocals and metallic textures, the snarling, menacing lead arpeggio that is the track’s calling card gradually bubbling to the surface. Muniz’s uncluttered, succinct arrangement lets the track breathe beautifully, with the psychedelic undertones left to subtly permeate just as a microdose of LSD might. An entrancing journey into the psychedelic experience, but not a full trip.

‘Try Me’ ups the intensity with its moment of drama and mind-bending atonal riffs. A stomping beat is laced with a pitch-bending, warped machine groove and chunky bass rumbles away incessantly as the track builds. The dark groove is made wonkier still with an arpeggiated riff whose hollow tone recalls Hot Butter’s infectious ‘Popcorn’, and sensual vocal thrusts add yet more drama. A tense breakdown goes darker still as the vocal unfolds with a little classic house flavour.

Time and time again Muniz has proved herself to be both a masterful musician and highly qualified architect of dancefloor gold. With such an array of styles under her belt, this new release makes for yet another sonic reinvention.
