Doorly's label Reptile Dysfunction is back in full force with a ginormous VA compilation sampler ahead of his party at Miami Music Week. It features tonnes of brilliant tracks from fantastic artists, both emerging and established.

Colour Castle join Doorly for a follow up to last years 'Stay Hungry' track as they announce their collaboration and new live show under the name 'Missingo'. 

Olivia Dawn is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist. She makes her mark on the compilation with 'Maomo (The Cat Dance)', a wonderfully creative and playful piano led funky-roller.

Hobbs & Roukin are the product of Doorly's DJ/Production retreat in Ibiza, starting as strangers and naturally joining forces to produce a feel-good disco-infused summer sunshine nugget of joy.

Josh Newsham returns to Doorly's label Reptile Dysfunction with a follow up to his track 'Trip To Medina'. 'Make You Feel Better' is a track that's been three years in the making, hard work pays off and the result is in an instant classic with vocals will be stuck in your head for days! 

New kid on the block Thackson joins the Reptile Dysfunction family with a powerful, dance-floor disco weapon bound to make you move!

Australian duo SEVADER treat us to an absolute gem of a track, jam packed with groove. Taking influence from a variety of different musical styles they infuse African rhythms and latin guitar riffs alongside wonderful vocal samples to create a fabulously fruity affair.

El Prevost is the exception on this EP, he’s no newcomer, anyone on the experimental underground scene will know that. This time coming through with a dark twisted vocal number featuring B’licious.

Lastly, Mike Woods brings a fiercely chunky track to the compilation. Big rolling beats and fully boisterous bass drive the track, accompanied by tasty guitar licks and brilliant string work. The tune also gets a huge remix from Rick Wade!

We came across Marlborough UK, based producer Tom Jarmey amidst taking a break from studying a degree in Geography. Like most students taking a gap year, he found himself in the classic pilgrimage across South-East Asia - and we assume preparing for which may have had some influence on the particular brand of heartwarming house vibes heard on Tom’s debut EP “Beach Jazz”.

Smooth AF with swirling bird chirps, rambling chats and guitar licks for day, it's no surprise “Beach Jazz ft. MarBlu” clocked up half a million plays on its Youtube premiere. From there, Jarmey takes a sharp turn heading for the vibe equator with the heavy lifting “Fiji” (resplendent with distorted percussion and a break beat bass twist), before heading once again into daylight territory with EP closer “What Does Honey Taste Like” - all luscious pads and sun soaked strings and a groove that reaffirms (for us at least) that Tom Jarmey not be a name soon forgotten.

As a label that is always dedicated to exposing new talent in our scene, we have found someone very special in Never Dull. Born and raised in southern California and now residing in Mexico, this uniquely talented artist seems to possess a special ear for dusty, classic grooves that were created by Large Music artists of the past. There is still, however, a contemporary sensibility to his work and that makes for a thrilling combination. All three tracks are special in this fitting debut for Never Dull – we can't wait to watch him rise!

Italian producer Piero Pirupa’s musical CV is nothing short of impressive. So it’s no surprise that his next production has found a home on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels, enlisting the vocal talents of New York’s Mr.V. 

Influenced by the sounds of 80s and 90s Chicago, Pirupa worked tirelessly on this EP to reach a version he was happy with. After seeing the reaction from dancefloors around the world, he decided to send it to Carl Cox and Damian Lazarus. Pirupa explains: “Since the day I sent it they have never stopped playing it in all their sets. I’m very excited. It’s a very special track for me.” 

We Must Be (The Piano Track) breathes new life into today’s dance music with a message from a bygone era. It harks back to the golden age of house music with its lush piano topline and positive message sung by Mr.V. Happiness simply emanates from this production. With lyrics such as “we must be all in this together, we must live to respect one another” and “this is the plan to make us unified” it takes clubbing back to a time when everyone came together on the dancefloor regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or religion. 

Pirupa’s rise to the top has been relentless. He’s built a solid reputation in the industry releasing on respected labels such as Drumcode, Desolat, Relief, Elrow Music and Saved Records, as well as his own label NONSTOP, which was awarded the accolade of being one of Beatport’s Breakthrough Underground labels in 2015. He’s been billed alongside heavyweights such as Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Pete Tong, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli and John Digweed. Pirupa’s production talents have seen him remix for the likes of Jamiroquai, Junior Jack and Sharam.

Rich’s last outing for the influential imprint was large by any standards, spreading far beyond the FUSE dancefloors finding support from many places. Led by EP track ‘Serious’, which was heralded as one of the tunes of 2018 by Mixmag in their mid-year review, it got love from Seth Troxler and the Martinez Brothers at Circoloco, alongside heavy rinsing of ‘Brigade’ and ‘Eight’ by all the FUSE residents.
 
The ‘Hard To Be’ EP comes as another on-point three-track work from Rich that channels the same versatile spirit. ‘Wah’ is an uplifting slice of original house, mirroring the accessibility and fun of ‘Serious’ with a catchy riff that runs throughout. The track created an enormous buzz on the IOM group with hundreds of comments and I.D requests pouring in throughout the year, and soundtracked parties everywhere from Fuse’s raves at Studio 338 terrace in London, Sonus Festival and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz at ADE. ‘Interrobang’ is head-nodding brilliance as twisted bass and sampled attitude characterise the seven-minute peak time banger. ‘On The Rocks’ rounds out the EP as punchy kicks and buttery smooth bass mark this work of grooving minimalism, echoing the spirit of Fuse029’s ‘Eight’.
 
And so closes the chapter of this impressive body of work. In the process it’s proved what we already knew all along; his knack for providing fail-safe dancefloor ammunition for the Fuse faithful and beyond, remains as strong as ever.
