Andrea Carax, pseudonym of Andrea Caracciolo, is an Italian producer, beatmaker, and solo artist from a small town in Calabria, Southern Italy. His passion for music began at an early age through piano and clarinet lessons, and he produced his first tracks as a teenager, one of which was played on a major radio show in the Netherlands hosted by DJ Giel Beleen.

While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Andrea was noticed by executives from Universal Music Group, who encouraged him to continue creating beats. He later collaborated with Grammy-winning reggae producer J-Vibe on half of the EP for Miami-based Jamaican artist Sede Serena, which reached #22 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and #2 on the Billboard Heatseeker South Atlantic Albums chart. He also produced the single “Swerve” featuring dancehall legend Elephant Man.

Throughout his career, Andrea has worked with internationally acclaimed songwriters and producers including Makeba Riddick (Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige), Corey Chorus (Demi Lovato, Akon, Daddy Yankee, Rihanna), Jackie’s Boy (Madonna, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida), Kee Ingrosso (David Guetta, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo), Mickey Shiloh (Iggy Azalea, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears), Alicia Renee (Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Layton Greene), and has caught the attention of super producers like Tricky Stewart and RedOne.

In 2018, David Miller, president of Seven Grand Entertainment and former VP International at Atlantic Records, was impressed by Andrea’s talent and signed him to his roster. That same year, Andrea worked with AWAL and Kobalt to distribute the record “Never Give Up” by independent singer/songwriter Queen Sessi.

In 2019, Andrea moved to Milan and began collaborating with New York-based rapper Nyemiah Supreme, known for the reality show Sisterhood Hip Hop and her work with Timbaland, Jim Jonsin, and Dave East, releasing the single “Ready.” In 2020, he worked with Norwegian producer BPM (Fetty Wap, Nico & Vinz, Madcon) for Queen Sessi’s single “Don’t Call.”

In 2021, Andrea produced his first song for an Italian artist, “Faithful,” performed by emerging singer Rachele, distributed by Thaurus Music / Universal Music Italy. He also collaborated with Jackie’s Boy, UK producer/engineer Hypertone (Snakehips, Jacques, JLS), and executive David Wade for the project of Lloyd Wade, legendary vocal coach for The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, producing the single “Higher,” which reached #6 on the Music Week Dance Chart UK.

After a brief hiatus, in 2023 Andrea founded his label and publishing company Panic Attack Music, releasing his solo singles and collaborations including “Dumb” with Nyemiah Supreme, “Motions” with Drea Réal, and “MAY B U” with Denali Nova, which went viral on YouTube vlogs, reaching 2.1 million streams on Thematic Music.

He also recently collaborated with IAMDDB on her new album. His upcoming solo single, “Enigma,” marks the next step in his journey as an artist and producer, bridging his work between Italy and the global music scene.

Andrea Carax continues to pursue a unique blend of production, songwriting, and solo artistry, bringing high-level R&B and contemporary music to both Italian and international audiences.

Diane had just returned from an acoustic tour in England and began working late nights at a local music venue in New York City.  She spent many hours there listening to every kind of band perform. "It made me miss being on stage and kept knawing at me to get on with my real passion."  One of the bands that really spoke to her was The Miracle 3, fronted by renown singer/songwriter Steve Wynn, of the Dream Syndicate. "There was a magical interplay between him and guitarist Jason Victor.  It had a certain melodic chaos, that distinct kind that I really wanted to hear on my record.".   She then met drummer Colin Brooks at a show where he was laying down his super soul beats in The Hurricane Bells. She was also inspired by bassist Matt Basile, on stage with a dual female fronted rock band, Mother Feather. "Suddenly I saw before me, my new group."   Alfonso Velez walked in shortly thereafter and became the final addition to this congregation. This is how Diane and The Gentle Men came to be. 

Not too long after playing shows to full houses in venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and Berlin in downtown Manhattan, the band soon ended up in a cool new studio built in an old firehouse in Redhook Brooklyn, called Atomic, where Interpol and Mark Ronson had recently recorded.  Steve Wynn agreed to produce this first EP to be released through Velvet Elk/One Little Indian Records (Bjork, Dead Heavens, Twilight Singers). 

The A-side, "Motorcycle" "was inspired by strumming a warn in 1957 Gibson drinking a glass of white wine and thinking about one of the new local heroes in town, who plays in a couple of bands, Threats/Drowners.   B- side "Boyfriend" and bonus track "Wasted Word" were blasted through fast and loose in that instant one-day session.

The record was mixed by Clif Norell, (R.E.M., The Replacements, Bruce Springsteen) and the other tracks mixed by Merle Chornuk (Ryan Adams, Nels Cline), the owner of Atomic Studios. 

With this first EP behind her, Diane began opening for acclaimed artists: Richard Lloyd (Television), Steve Wynn, Jesse Malin, Tommy Stinson, Jason Darling, Laura Cantrell and more.   Diane and the Gentle Men finished recording the full album in November 2018 for release fall of 2019.

THE ALBUM
Caught In  A Wave is the debut album by Diane Gentile.  The record opens with "Happy", a slightly sarcastic take on a love relationship. The closing track is a cover of Marc Bolan (T-Rex) song "Life's A Gas".   Caught in A Wave is about a time and place.  It's about riding that one wave.

This record was made with the help of some wonderfully talented musicians: Don DiLego, Derek Cruz,Todd Youth, Colin Brooks, Matt Basile, Tye Smith, Johnny Martin, Brian Purwin and Scott Campbell.  Special guests include Tommy Stinson (Replacements) and Jesse Malin who produced a few songs.  Recorded at the Velvet Elk Studio (Don’s studio) in The Poconos in Pennsylvania, in Brooklyn at Atomic Studios with engineer/owner Merle Chornuk, with engineer/producer Rudyard Cullard at Strotosphere in NYC and with Mark Lewis at Under Hi-Fi Studio NYC.

ELECTRONIC TRIBAL DANCE PARTY

The Okapi is rare mammal with of traits of both the zebra and the giraffe found exclusively in the Ituri Forest of The Congo. Like the Okapi, the world is a mixture of races and beliefs unified as one on Earth under the Sun. This is what fuels the concepts behind the tribal sound of dance-electronic pop duo Okapi Sun. 

After a fateful introduction in a Berlin nightclub, Dallas (vocals, synth, bass, drums) and Leo (vocals, synth, guitar, drums) reunited in Southern California, this time moonlighting in a local recording studio, to forge the sound of Okapi Sun--a creative outlet drawing on their experiences as classically trained musicians while pulling from influences featuring everything from Rick James to Daft Punk with their own twist of EDM. The result is a record that is contagious, fun and filled with one pop gem after another. 

“Okapi Sun has one goal,” explains Dallas. “To make you MOVE.” With cuts about not settling for second best and never giving up (“Johnny Kiss”), vulnerability and heartbreak (“Judy Baby”), and temptation leading to inspiration (“Cold Outside”), the tribal electro outfit create a environment that’s raucous and completely their own. Both Dallas and Leo come from unique backgrounds. Dallas, the army brat and classically trained violinist and Leo a gifted pianist and multi-medium artist from Germany have brought their eclectic and versed experiences together to blend a freestyle form with massively danceable hooks.

At its core the record was tracked live at their rehearsal space. They then took those tracks to the Los Angeles community of Silverlake where they recorded with Ethan Allen of Gram Rabbit at Royal Triton Studios with additional production from Grammy winner Neal H. Pogue (Janelle Monae, Snoop Dog, Outcast, Pink, TLC, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., Franz Ferdinand) in Atlanta. The result: an international dance party culminating everywhere under the Sun.
