Off the back of his International debut in London and his first two releases with CNTRL Events & Platform Dublin, JÄMES can be seen to showcase a blend of sinister, broken rhythms as well as heavy distorted 4 to the floor dark techno of a groove based and thrashing nature. His sound is being sculpted while studying the first of a 2 year HND in Music Production guided by some of the brightest names in Irish electronic music.

With a number of Dublin shows under his belt, a stack of podcast releases and track support from big European cities such as Paris, Berlin & Budapest, JÄMES looks to make a severe imprint on the Industrial scene in Ireland and further afield.

Research Sessions 03 - Catalyst

Liam Chambers aka HOOLIGAN is this weeks entry to the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series. The talented Cork DJ and producer completes the 172nd edition to the series, comprising of a groove infused, hypnotically driven recording from start to finish.

Boasting releases on Sonic Intel, SPEED and Disintegrated, it is clear that HOOLIGAN is no stranger to Ireland’s and more notably, Cork’s underground dance scene. Having played in ‘An Spalpín Fánach’ and ‘Crack Jenny’s’, coupling this with his involvement in Kriptik, a collective running private events in unique locations around Cork, solidifies this fact even more.

Kriptik looks to have gained a very strong reputation in quite a short period of time and are definitely a party to keep an eye on in future. It looks to be another positive contribution to the reignition of Cork city’s party scene that is badly needed. Bravo.

HOOLIGAN’s approach to Techno reflects images and soundscapes of the dark basements of Berlin. His love for rolling basslines and heavy hypnotic grooves, where he blends the old with the new is apparent throughout his recordings as well as his productions.

In this mix you can expect a 3 deck workout made up of some cracking releases. Some of which include tracks from HOOLIGAN himself, British Murder Boys, Kaiser, a host of Key Vinyl releases and more. Get stuck into this.

A time of change has come about for the Dublin Based techno Artists. Following Conor's recent move to Australia, the pair have decided to sadly split. 

FUAM will continue as a solo project run by Tadhg Brennan hailing from Dublin. The name is derived from the Irish word for sound, which translates to ‘Fuaim’.

With previous releases on some notable labels including Ismus Berlin, Motz Berlin and Mainmise records. FUAM has a number of tracks including a final collaborative EP as a duo, forthcoming next month on a favourite label of the pair.

The sound of FUAM consists of fast paced, synth driven techno with an industrial influence, taking inspiration from producers such as Dax J, VTSS and Giant Swan to name a few.
