Whipnotiq is a sorceress of unique sounds spanning electronic music and beyond. Classically-trained on the violin since she was six years old, the curator behind Neptunian Influence is somewhat of a renaissance woman. She received her B.A. in Art History from UCLA and currently works as a museum educator. Sharpening her craft at influential underground parties in LA and passionately building her record collection over the past eight years, Miranda Calzada has shared the bill with techno elite such as Function, Rrose, Cio D'Or, Lucy, Voices from the Lake, Daniel Bell, Carlos Souffront, and Ø [Phase], to name a few. As the purveyor of Neptunian Influence, an electro-focused mix and event series, she has brought on rising and established talents such as 214, James Shinra, ADAB, Kiernan Laveaux and Sassmouth. 

It's worth mentioning, she is alumni of Walking & Falling, a DJ/production mentor program for burgeoning women and nonbinary artists. In November 2019 she was invited to DJ at Ellen Allien's 'Vinylism' held at Stellar Remnant’s record shop in DTLA. Quite a lot to accomplish already. We can't wait to see what lies ahead!
