Deep and transformative change from which there is no return to the initial state. It is that turning point that raises us above fear and worries, adopting a new attitude to life.

The word henkō is composed of the kanjis 変 Hen, meaning "change" and 光 kō, meaning "variable or with an unusual light".

A recording of my closing at Rooibosch, might be one of my favorite sets yet! Not because of its "smoothness and tightness" or what have you, but because I am so happy and proud of what we have done with Rooibosch the past years, and playing this one (after my friends) felt like home <3 This set was recorded in the middle of a beautiful art exhibition somewhere in Den Bosch (curated by the amazing Lucia), among so many loved ones. Running SPLOT since 2019 in order to promote sounds and genres distributed in their radio shows: Burn The Roots, Night Bus and GRIT respectively. SPLOT is based on openness, courage and musical versatility. Its goal is an ongoing expansion of boundaries of the local electronic music scene. SPLOT resulted from immense respect for underground club culture in the UK. It is the sound balancing on the verge of contemporary techno, dub, UK bass and broken rhythms.

Vic is one half of the Keeptress & Xyro duo and cofounder of the Academeia crew, whose name has become synonymous with infamous location and club raves.

"The mix you're about to hear is a snippet from an extended session. Throughout, there is incorporated a specific Reverb Pedal setting I called ":Ancient Artefacts H9 Amphireverb," giving the sound a gritty, vintage quality. By blending analog and digital elements, I've crafted a sonic palette—imagine mixing different colors to create a distinct hue. In this case, the resulting mix evokes shades of red and orange.

I've named this mix: "Public Tools, Unchained Loops & Vinyl Discussions."
