Hemp Higher Productions & J.O.A.T are proud to present the exclusive 13 track debut mixtape of Randy Valentine mixed by Switzerland’s finest: Straight sound.

The Mix is composed of 13 previously unreleased songs from Randy on Classic Reggae Instrumentals such as “Stalag Riddim”, “Lecturer Riddim”, “Bobby Babylon Riddim” and other Studio One classics…

This gives a real “authentic” reggae feel to the project and allows Randy to showcase his versatality as he easily passes from beautiful singing melodies to an energetic “deejay” style.

As the title indicates, the mix is filled with Love songs “Poor man’s loving”, “Till the morning comes” and the cover of Bob Andy’s “Too experienced” are perfect examples as Randy soulfully sings to the ladies – garanteeing to please his female fans.

Other songs such as “Badman lies”, “Police and Badboy” or “light it up” will please the hardcore reggae audience as RV sings about “street” issues that most youths will easily be able to relate to , it’s on some of these songs that one will also be able to appreciate his “deejay” talents.

The Focus of the mix however is put on “bringing back the love” of reggae music – the title track “Bring back the love” is one of several songs which treats of how we need to bring back the “soul” of reggae music, an issue which gains all of it’s importance nowadays as some artists have taken Reggae and Dancehall away from its positive beginnings by even branding their style of music “Gothic”.

“Foundation” and “Memory Lane” are 2 other songs praising reggae “classics” and how important it is for each and every one to know about the musical roots of the music and where the culture comes from.

All these tracks are skillfully mixed together by MixCD specialists Straight sound delivering over 40 minutes of pure and soulfull reggae music.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea. If there is any success to be had from this album, it will go back into my rule bending, never ending quest to channel beauty and taste through music and art.

Reel 6 Break 5 - Live Studio Sessions From A Color Map of the Sun

DZ6TEM / KRAKEN KREW / PBR / CHAPATI EXPRESS / OXYMOR/CRUX/ PSYCHOSOMATIK Records

RESH.G fait sa première rencontre avec les Raves Party à la fin des années 90. C’est donc tout naturellement qu’il intègre, début 2000, le DZ6TEM Crew, avec qui il organise des évènements et se retrouve régulièrement aux platines lors de fêtes innovantes et originales. Parallèlement à ses exactions sonores, il commence ses premières expérimentations sur des samplers, des boites à rythme et divers supports qui lui permettent de se familiariser avec la composition et le traitement du son.
Dès 2003, il produit des lives et des morceaux étonnemment matures et aboutis, bien qu’ils soient crées avec des moyens dérisoires et un équipement pas toujours adapté à ses ambitions artistiques. Cela ne l’empêche pas de se produire dans diverses free parties et teknivals en France et en Europe aux côtés de ses potes de toujours du sound system DZ mais aussi avec les Troubles Fêtes ou les Heretiks.
En 2008, il crée avec l’aide de quelques amis et d’un distributeur bien implanté le label DZ6TEM Records et enchaine 4 superbes opus en moins d’un an, ce qui lui vaut de se faire remarquer par de nombreux directeurs artistiques de labels hexagonaux comme CHAPATI EXPRESS, GLUMPK, OXYMOR, PSYCHOSOMATIK ou PAIN BEURRE Records ainsi qu’à l’international comme CRUX (USA) ou ELECTRO SUPERSTARS (Allemagne).
Très vite, les tourneurs et organisateurs de soirées s’intéressent à son cas: il se retrouve à l’affiche dans les clubs les plus pointus de l’underground parisien (Batofar, le Gibus, la Loco, La Machine, Glaz’art ou le Cabaret Sauvage où il partage l’affiche avec le célèbre duo allemand EXTRAWELT. Le bouche à oreille fait son job et il est très vite invité à sortir du cercle très fermé des soirées de la capital pour aller distiller des lives de plus en plus pointus dans les clubs et festivals de province (Toulouse, Grenoble, la Bretagne ou Chamonix sont sur sa carte).
Puis sa musique commence à passer les frontières. Il est désormais à l’affiche de nombreux évènements en Allemagne, au Cross Club, le temple de l’underground tchèque,en ITALIE ou encore à Bruxelles pour un set mémorable mélangeant musique tzigane et électro... En prévision, de nombreuses performances scéniques, un nouveau liveset composé de plus de Hardware ainsi que la production d’un album double Vinyle en étroite collaboration avec TOOLBOX prévu pour les beaux jours de l'année 2024... RESH.G c'est plus de 25 ep sortis en vinyles et a peu pres autant en sortie digitales depuis 2007 mais il est encore difficile de savoir jusqu’où son talent et sa soif de bon son pourront le mener....
