Before RA and Absolut bring Marcel Dettmann to Leeds for a rare house set, we're getting a fresh perspective on local crew Butter Side Up. Starting in 2011 the guys have brought the likes of Margaret Dygas, Fred P, Theo Parrish and Craig Richards to basement club Wire, with recent years finding them putting on parties in London and around Europe.

On this mix from Butter Side Up key player Hamish Cole, we get a vibrant portrait of the their sound: Warm, unpredictable and melodic.

On April 6th we head to Manchester’s Soup Kitchen with Absolut, where we're joined by one of techno’s true innovators, Derrick May. He’ll be playing a set of the music that influenced him when he was starting out in Detroit. Expect to hear anything from obscure Japanese new wave to Ultravox. He'll be supported by the team from meandyou.

Established as an event series in 2008, meandyou have hosted parties across the city and Europe. Since 2013 they have also operated a comparable record label, distributed by Honest Jons. The collective consists of Andrew Lyster, Herron, Alexander Taber, Joy Orbison and Juniper, all of whom have developed the Manchester scene and built a community of like-minded electronic music fans.

Here across 90 minutes meandyou showcase the forward thinking sound that has made them one of the most respected promoter crews in the country.

Before we join forces with Absolut to bring Nicolas Lutz to London's Pickle Factory for a garage, breaks and dubstep set, we're getting a fresh perspective on local crew Toi Toi.

Collaborating with them as part of the Alternate Cuts series was a no-brainer for us here at RA. Their ethos of exploring music through its purest form has lead them to producing unique sound design and engineering in some of London’s most interesting warehouse spaces. Their dynamic aesthetic has produced incredible artwork for this show and we are proud to work alongside Isis Salvaterra, Claus Voigtmann and mix contributor Junki Inoue.

Here across an hour and change we get a tightly woven collection of club heat and earwormy electronics delivered with precision and style.

We're bringing KiNK to Liverpool's Buyers Club with Absolut as part of Alternate Cuts. Before we do, we're getting a fresh perspective on local crew Abandon Silence.

Headed up by Andrew Hill, the Abandon Silence event series has brought some of the UK’s finest artists to the North of the UK. With a keen eye for design, Andrew has been heavily involved in creating different lighting structures and visuals for his events giving Abandon Silence parties their own unique aesthetic.

Speaking about his mix, Andrew said; "It was definitely influenced by the unexpectedly sunny weather we've had in Liverpool, with some of my favourite new and old music from Mr Fingers, Rick Wilhite, Joy Orbison, Mr G and ending on my personal all time favourite by Durutti Column."

We're putting on the party with Bitch, Please! Since its inception, the party has changed the game for the local LGBTQ+ community. They'll be going in with their usual incredibly high production values, so expect a real show - and to get in the mood, enjoy this thumping house mix from residents ZenZero.
