Every month RA Live heads to Brilliant Corners, a cosy listening bar in East London equipped with a Bozak mixer, McIntosh amps and huge wooden Klipsch speakers. In this intimate setting, DJs take the opportunity to play their favourite leftfield records, showing a side to their tastes not usually heard at clubs and festivals.

I am forever grateful to Eduardo Castillo and the Habitas family for having me play at their unique experience. The recording is a snippet of Saturday night in which the amazing Goldcap opened the night, followed by my hour and ending with a b2b between us. 

Definitely one I will never forget, I hope you enjoy the recording. For this one I mixed lots of Latin / Afro-infused / Sexy beats, with a splash of mysticism and spirituality and a pinch of melodic melancholia for good measure. Oh, and a baby babbling about Coyotes... with electric guitars atmospherics. (A track by @aeonix-official called "Chloe" that has become my favorite track of the Summer)

Less than a month to go until we are back in Tisno, it only feels like yesterday we were at Barbarella's listening to this fantastic woman warming up the Saturday night.

Having been part of the festival for the last couple of years we thought it was time to ask Saoirse to do a mix for us, what she has delivered is a perfect final warm up before we venture back to paradise. From balearic ambience to sunkissed breaks, this 60 odd minutes shows another side to the Irish born DJ’s collection, her Sunset Sounds.

On Sunday, April 7th, we returned to Brilliant Corners for another evening of music discovery with Lukid and Gigi FM. 

Lukid has been a consistently inventive artist for more than a decade, releasing his first album on Actress’s Werkdiscs label in 2007. Since then he’s released another two albums under that alias, put out a string of unclassifiable EPs, remixed Radiohead and formed one half of Rezzett. On this drizzly Sunday afternoon he took us on a trip through the a world bunch of sounds that inspire his various monikers.

London-based DJ Gigi FM has a knack for weaving club tracks with trap and UK drill as well as plenty of other shades of music. She has a deep record bag, making the Netil Radio host a natural fit for Brilliant Corners.
