Turkish born, Germany-based DJ Sedef Adasï is a genre-hopping specialist; known to blend anything from tough, psychedelic acid, accelerated techno, rough house and glistening, warping electro. Her mix for us, expertly glides through a rich selection of the above – readying us for her very first appearance – of many, we hope – in our main room next month.

Roza Terenzi is a producer and DJ from Perth, Australia, now based in Melbourne. After a number of years producing under another name she adopted this moniker to reflect her change in direction and focus. The hands of fate (and the record industry) led to a series of records coming out in quick succession on different labels, with her newest release Mwah recently dropping on Colin Volvert's Kalahari Oyster Cult. A few weeks back we caught up with Roza to speak about her record Weakest Link on Voyage Recordings, the Australian label helmed by Berlin-based Andy Hart. The release, emblematic of her sound, doubled up playful scratches and jaunty synth melodies floating over classic electro sounds and ravey breaks. In an entertaining Gmail-based chat, we also discussed this sudden glut of records, her musical beginnings and inspirations and the meaning of the word “doof”.

Since speaking with her at the beginning of May, she's announced a word-wide tour, jetting off the first week of June for a hefty three months. With dates seeing her land in London for Corsica Studios, Amsterdam for De School and Bambi's in Toronto, there are plenty of opportunities to catch the Melbourne-based DJ. Knowing we wanted to get her in for a mix straight after our interview with her went live, she's managed to get one in time before the summer tour kicks off.  Here's what she had to say on her Truancy Volume:

"The mix today is a loose representation of my DJ sets at the moment, a smash together of genres, which I try to make flow. I like to focus on the elements I love from each of them and how they can interact rather than the style, whilst keeping the dynamics pretty energetic and spontaneous. There are a lot of my personal favourite old gems in here but also a forthcoming track of mine coming out on Salt Mines very soon, as well as new Ambien Baby, Escape Artist and Florist - all incredible artists. I wanted to specifically stray away from my previous structures with mixes, so hopefully this direction keeps it somewhat fresh!"

Artist Info:
Allies for Everyone aka New York City's Brian Suarez. He has been making tunes on and off in a variety of genres since the early 2000's. Brian has had a particularly productive 2016 with successful releases on Constant Circles, Einmusika Recordings and SOSO amongst others. 

His tracks are instantly recognisable with his trademark deep and emotive vocals on top of punchy four-by-four instrumentals.  Brian performs his original music live as well as DJing and a hybrid of the two.

Italian born, Gianmarco Limenta is one of the rising acts and influencers of the worldwide Deep House scene.
His professional DJ career started in 2001 and just a few years later, he was working in some of the most exclusive clubs in Europe.
With his innovative sets, he is able to create a unique, sexy and elegant atmosphere, making people fall in love with his music.
He is currently living in the beautiful city of Barcelona and he is the resident DJ at the W Hotel. He played alongside some of the most influent names of the Underground scene like Josh Butler, Chez Damier, Alaia & Gallo, Lovra, Cassius, Dario D’Attis, Full Intention, David Penn and many others.

Gianmarco’s music has been published on several labels, including Pacha Recordings and Crosswolder Records. In 2018, his track “Clear My Mind” has been used as the soundtrack for the Ibiza Pacha’s commercial of the club’s own children’s clothes collection.
2019 will see him push the envelope further on his productions, with original releases as well as a touring diary that sees Gianmarco play across Europe.

Als Pauli Pocket das erste Mal in einem Club spielte, musste sie ihr Vater begleiten. Sie war noch nicht Volljährig und ihr Platten brachte sie damals in einer Alditüte mit, so die Legende.
Foolik wurde bei seinem Besuch im Sisyphos so von der Energie des Ladens, dass es nur zwölf Monate dauern sollte, bis er gemeinsam mit Leon Licht selbst das erste Mal dort an den Decks stand.
