Since we first listened to Christonia5 music, we knew we had to do something with her sooner or later.. 
We discovered Christina Aktenzeichen alias Christonia5's music through her amazing dj mixes back in 2010… She was mixing dub edits of algerian legend Lili boniche with early Martin L. Gore productions as well as unusual techno stuff.. Well the result was really mindblowing... A real musical UFO
Christonia5 alias Christina Aktenzeichen has been busily working, trying, failing, re-thinking her music last few years.. (don't we all?) until she sent us this amazing ep.. That wasn't hard to say, this is goldmin! it felt like complete obviousness from the very first listen.. Christina got to bring us/hopefully you to her very personal universe.. There is no need to be an ambient/experimental music fan to enjoy this as her music is sufficient on it's own.. 
It can probably be interpreted in several ways and abstract art is all about that very personal interpretation but her tunes keep a kind of cosmic natural beauty that isn't hard to feel. Right now writing this, i would call it abstract ballad.. Sounds good uh? :)
Anyway, i won't try to describe the music anymore, this would be futile with this one.. Put your imagination at work!
PS: If you're going to play "Naia" with a subwoofer, you better on good terms with your neighbours...

Last year's '4' album saw Mr. Luke Vibert's first venture as Kerrier District in over a decade. And a successful venture it was at that – with the album becoming into an essential long player, and ranking as one of Bleep's top albums of 2015, Now, to mark Hypercolour's 50th single release, four of electronic music's heavyweights have brought forward three strong reworkings of 4: Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer, Head High (aka Shed) and RA Best Live Act of 2015, KiNK – whose remix comes up trumps in our eyes.

In his take on album favourite, "Techno Disco", KiNK deploys a spacey synth melody and a Reese-style bassline – transforming it into an energetic peaktime track, with elements not falling sonically far from a UR record.

This one is yet again inspired by the roller coaster of emotions I went through last year, as well as my worldwide travels, and the sadness I feel whilst facing the countless political issues and terrorist attacks that take place all around the globe.

My 8th mix, "Anchor States", represents my second attempt at making a "sleep" collage. Unlike my mini anthology of ambient, this project uses beats but still maintains a peaceful, soothing atmosphere. The tone here is a bit more orchestral and sounds less electronic on the surface, even though many of these warm, organic drones are made with computers. Ambient main-stays Biosphere, Gas, and Stars of the Lid make appearances, as do lesser known artists like Loscil, Manual, and The Sight Below. All together you get a unique 53 minutes to zone out, relax, or fall asleep to.

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen (born 1962), a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient music. He is well known for his early "ambient techno" aesthetic and later for his "arctic ambient" style, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His track "Novelty Waves" was used for the 1995 campaign of Levi's. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by www.hyperreal.org  as one of the all time classic ambient albums. But over the last few years his albums (such as Cirque, Shenzou, Autour de la lune, Dropsonde and N-plants) have embodied some touches of jazz, classical, drone and even some dub-techno. The very first podcast shines above The Dark Side of Warsaw!

SaffronKeira is Eugenio Caria's project, coming from island of Sardinia, Italy. Associated with Denovali Records, SaffronKeira presents himself as a great researcher and experimenter. In his music, Caria squeezes every possibility given by currently available technology. Combining raw textured rhythms with classical ambient pieces SaffronKeira's minimalistic style gains attention of impressively wide fanbase. Obvious similarities can be found in comparison to Murcof, Arvo Pärt or Raster-noton artists on the other hand.

The podcast itself was created in a similar way of linking unique ambience. It's the mood that plays first fiddle here. It doesn't matter if it's Raime's industrial or string instruments composition from Peter Prautzsch - SaffronKeira delivers a truly beautiful one-hour set of blissful ambient and classical music completed with intriguing experiments.
