"Zadig, a leading figure in Paris' contemporary techno scene, has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the city's global standing in electronic music. Initially part of the '90s French rave scene, Sylvain Peltier transitioned to the alias Zadig in 2009, forging a significant connection with the influential Syncrophone label in Paris. His instrumental role in the city's techno resurgence is underscored by the launch of his Construct Re-Form label in 2011, introducing and supporting emerging French talents.

Zadig's influence extends internationally, with performances at renowned venues such as Tresor, Berghain, Concrete. His diverse discography includes releases on labels like Deeply Rooted House and TRESOR."

This is the recording of a totally improvised hardware live performance. Nothing is prepared beforehand. You can hear the music being created and destroyed as it's happening and that was as exciting for me as it is for the audience. 

This is a very risky way to perform. 
As I step up to play I have nothing, I have to create the music there in that moment. The audience is participating in that risk and that adds to the energy and creates a unique atmosphere and sense of excitement. Understanding the technicalities of the machines I'm using is not important. What is important is the energy of music being created right there in that moment. That creates a far deeper connection between myself and the audience than I've ever experience with playing back pre recorded music.

Erika dreams on the cellular level, or perhaps of transdimensional intelligences moving through strange patterns on celestial objects, working towards a mysterious goal. Her connection to the dreamworld becomes concrete in her approach to music, simultaneously so solid and yet so ethereal. Erika still finds time to accomplish many things in her waking hours, such as being a member of Ectomorph, co-conspirator of Detroit's Interdimensional Transmissions record label, DJing and making music with her pet machines. Her freeform streaming radio station erika.net was one of the very first iTunes presets, running 24x7 for 17 years from 1999 to 2016. Prior to that, Erika was very involved in WCBN-FM Ann Arbor, as a freeform and jazz DJ, and Program Director.
