I'm originally from Chicago but reside in Indianapolis. Been going to parties since '98. I've been spinning and collecting vinyl as a hobby since 1999. I learned to beat match on a pair of good old Gemini belt drive tables and the rest is raver history. I only spin vinyl, digital just not my thing. I have terrible stage fright anxiety, so over the years, I've only played at a few parties since 2001.
My black crack collection mostly consists of old skool Breaks (vocal/progressive/Miami), Electro, Liquid DnB, House, (old skool) Hard German Trance and "classic" trance, cause in "raver" years, I'm old...... Haha.

Intersectionality is at the root of what KALEIDO does. Born and raised in Northern China, later moving to Western Canada, KALEIDO (Sophia) is a Fashion & Climate Activist/Sustainability Manager by day, having won multiple awards for her climate activism work, and a techno DJ and event organizer on the weekend.

KALEIDO started her DJ journey after throwing events with VANTEK Group. After building up VANTEK and managing the venue, KALEIDO founded ColouredSpace, a multi-artistic events collective representing femmes and QTBIPOC+ artists that centre inclusion, intentional events, and partying with a purpose.

KALEIDO has played at various DIY venues, clubs, and outdoor events across North America. Notable ones are Public Disco, Burning Man, Gorgomish, Village Studios, and Dolly Disco. Her style is diverse, ranging from 160bpm Tekno, to 145bpm breaks and electro to 125bpm feel-good house. However, she always has a soft spot for acid techno and the euro-style rave and breaks sound.

Whether it's climate organizers or acid techno heads, her infectious sound will get you dancing, and her social impact, ethical fashion, and equity work (threadingchange.org) will make you hungry for change.
