About the mix: Recording from my first gig of the year at Nowadays! This gig was so special in so many levels; I felt a surge of excitement and nervousness coursing through me.

From the perfect booth to the sweaty dance floor and a crowd that is there for the right reasons - make this space so magical. And so it felt in the same way to play for the first time there. Atmosphere was palpable and the hours flew away, they melted in sweatiness, connection and transformation thru music.

This month’s radio show celebrates the Carhartt WIP x Tresor collaboration, highlighting the historic Berlin and Detroit techno axis, also known as 030/313.

For the show, we welcome the Hamburg-based DJ @helena-hauff, who has created a mix documenting the legacy of Tresor, both as a club and record label, and its link to the roots of techno in Detroit.

Pulsing with wild melodies and rapid kicks, the mix was recorded using all vinyl, and features classics from the likes of Drexciya, Joey Beltram, and the late Silent Servant, as well as records from nascent producers such as UFO95. As ever, the mix is accompanied by an interview with Helena Hauff, who gives insights on her relation to the Tresor club and label as well as news on future projects. About the mix Kia said: “This mix is a big amalgamation of sets and moods I've been playing recently on my travels in Mexico, Colombia, the US & Canada, and some shades and new styles influenced by my time in Latin America & Detroit specifically. Like a travel diary in a mix :) ”

At Monument Festival 2022 Kia gifted us with the perfect afternoon set, laying down three hours of tightly woven hypnotic grooves. This year she will be closing out Friday night playing b2b with Polygonia. Not to be missed.

Today, we exclusively bring you the full live recording of @riva999’s set at our 100th UNFOLD.

14 hours deep into our biggest ever event, every nook and cranny of our building was busy playing host to bustling dancers from every corner of the planet. Just as the clock struck 06:00 and the earliest of arrivals began to show reluctant, tentative signs of tiring, up stepped our Resident RIVA into the booth to deliver the kind of set to power our dance floor deep into its second day. 

Treating the Steam Room with some of the sassiest sonics our sibling space has been lucky enough to behold, our Resident produced a masterclass in progressive house and trance for our centenary celebration. One you can now experience for yourself.
